Leaving for bootcamp May 9th swore In two days ago 😤💪🏼
Good luck
Best advice I can give is enjoy your time before boot camp. If you are in relatively good shape (or hell even decent or slightly bad shape) you will be fine. One thing you NEED to know is how to swim. That and not passing your physical exam will keep you in rtc.
Do not apply for any jobs except ship staff in navy boot camp. Ship staff at least for some if not most ships allow you to skip some of the more mundane tasks in exchange for cleaning and more consistent watches.
Pretty much do you want to have more watches or do you want to have to deal with a lot of the bs with your divisions
Next pack light and bring easy entertainment. If you like to draw bring a drawing journal. If you like to read bring a book (though sometimes that can get taken but can't hurt to try!
And the first week will hands down be the worst. We call it P-days. It's actual mental hell. Just follow orders, keep your head down and if something is wrong say so. If you are missing an item SAY SOMETHING. literally the best advice I can give is if you are not matching up with your section you are in the wrong.
Another thing is if it's not to late go into BOOTCAMP as blind as possible. Just know your physical requirements and that you need to pass swim. Everything else can be learned there
And one last thing. You will get sick, you will have to get beat and do things you would never want to do. Just mind your own business. Do what you are told and pay attention. The sickness will go away hopeful a bit into the weeks or you will just have to wait until after A-school. Do not do anything stupid. Luckily my division wasn't trigger happy with the ASMOs (another term for being sent back in training) but being sent back in bootcamp is the worst possible feeling. Genuinely do not spend more time at Great Lakes than you have too. Know your knowledge. And have some fun! BS when no one is looking. You only go through bootcamp once but understand that work comes before play
Good luck recruit

Division 949 USS Constitution was our divisions ship 2005.
This is an old video. But I do have a question for anyone to answer: When did the Navy switch from Dungarees to Camouflage uniforms? And why green and not blue or gray like a ship is colored?
Got alot of love for all branches got courious so i watched this. But i leave in june. Got a army infantry contract with airborne school and italy on it. Wish me luck

@@bandzztv2056 best of luck my guy. What mos feild you going for?
Im trying to decide between the navy and the army. I know more about the army in general. But id really like to become a pilot on an aircraft carrier. What were yalls pros and cons of these two branches and what was something you wish you wouldve known before enlisting?
I’m prior Army and considering going Navy. My best advice would be consider which environment you would rather work in, Army operates on land and Navy mostly at sea. And Army has a strong emphasis on teaching combat & survival skills while Navy focuses more on building teamwork abilities since a lot of the work requires co-op. The branches are way more similar than you’d think though, the military operates across all branches through the same basic blueprint. Just do a bunch of research and go with your gut, you got this :)
I’ll be shipping on June 5th. I didn’t know how to swim and I have learned just to join the Navy. I’m a little nervous only because my English is not “perfect”, I’m a little afraid I don’t understand whatever they ask me to do… but now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure I’ll get yelled at anyway 😂. I’m using this month that I have left as a civilian to prepare myself physically and mentally. Being in the military it’s been my DREAM since I was a little kid, I WILL NOT GIVE UP IN BOOT CAMP. ❤ Wish me luck!
Good luck I’m thinking about joining! How long did the process take for you to get in the door?
@@greenbackjackj4795hey! Thanks a lot! Well, to be honest I think my process has been the longest comparing with anybody else because I had a medical history, so waiting for a clearance and waiver took me in total about 6 months.

The Recruit/Sailor who went in with a college degree didn't want to go the officer route? She could have applied to OCS and gone that way instead of enlisted boot camp. Perhaps later, now that she has a degree she has a lot of roads open to her in the military.
She's also very pretty with her fine ass.
She's a very pretty girl. Much luck to her and to her career.
@@carltaylor5251 I didn't say anything about her looks, appearance nor her beauty which frankly is irrelevant here.
For anyone else reading this, I just want to re-affirm to know all of your options. The military/government really rewards education, so if you have some college prior to joining then check all options. Anyone who has a college degree can check into applying for OCS rather than going enlisted. Many who don't know about the military don't know this. Some don't want to be officers and that's fine, but many recruits don't know this and recruiters don't tell them. The Navy uses a different officer recruiter for officer candidates and an enlisted recruiter isn't going to say anything because they don't get credit. Just an FYI for anyone watching this video. If you have a degree, check your options for OCS first. Some jobs are officer-only, such as pilot or Naval Flight Officer. In my opinion getting selected after going enlisted can be more difficult and you're at the whim of the military (sudden deployments, etc). Just check all of your options before signing.
Hey you need to get a grip my friend. It was my sense of humor. So lighten the hell up will you. I never meant any harm or meant to offend anyone. I too was a Recruit more than 30 years ago. So much has happened. And has also changed since then. The roles of women has also changed. We've had two women who've achieved the full rank of admiral. One of them is currently the Chief Of Naval Operations. Women have come along way since they were allowed to attend military institutions in 1976. Again yes she has a college degree. There's so many educated enlisted and non commissioned officers. Some at the Graduate school level. Than commissioned officers. Again sorry if I offended the masses.
