I’m 5’4 weighing 182. Was told to lose 10lbs before I can do MEPS. Is there any advice I should take to heart? I’m currently working out as hard as I can. My dad was in Air Force and I would love to know how the process is. Thanks 😬

Yea, this is the G rated version, our MTI would Spartan kick the door open if the beds weren't made, if we weren't dressed to the uniform of the day and formed up on the wall 10 minutes later, we were properly f**ked the rest of the day.

One thing I can say I like about coast guard boot camp as opposed to BCT is that the civilians and permanent party are way more laid back always give encouraging words and tell their experiences when they went through it! The civilians in Army BCT are dickheads 😂

If a Staff Sergeant is the SDI, I anticipate that cadre is pretty young. My SDI was an SFC (E-7) and each platoon had an E-6 as lead drill and an E-5 as secondary.

I did my boot camp in San Diego and I think it was the best. When we went to chow barely had enough time to swallow it must less taste it!

I'm not buying it. My daughter's maternal grandfather hit the beach on Iwo lugging a BAR, under direct fire from Mt. Suribachi. (1st, Batt., 28th Reg., 5th Marine Div., FMF). I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have been beside him in that Higgins Boat. A woman shouting orders at a group of armed men under fire from an enemy doesn't pass the giggle test.
