Hi Roxie, THANK you for this breakdown!. I'm older now (much) and danced ballet, tap, jazz , show with regional companies years ago. I have always been fascinated by Mr, Fosse, and how he created magical signature isolations. I am pretty fearless, so I think for halloween at work, (a pretty geeky job with many nerds, who are FAR too busy pretending to be adults (ha!) ) I'm going to cut loose in the cafeteria with a bit of Fosse, (All that Jazz, from Chicago) and I think some tap from "Somethings Rotten" (the dance break in "A Musical"). I have a top hat and tails costume that I can get away with, (assuming I'm not wearing fish nets! ) I could get a bowler, but I think the gold sequined top hat should be fun (I kept it (I asked) from our production of A Chorus Line, years ago - . I still have my character shoes and character tap shoes - (A few years ago, I was totally green (Wicked!) and would sing "Defying Gravity" a cappella to people in the elevator (FUN!). Your breakdown should really help me pull this off! Thank you again, I subscribed to your channel - And Merde! ~Cindy
This is great! I have degenerative disease in my back so I can't dance like I used to, but I was able to follow along some while in the pool! Always wanted to learn how to Fosse 😂
Thank you so much! My school is doing a chicago play and we have to familiarize ourselves w bob fosse style so this really helped! I even sent it to others who plan on auditioning for it this was the best tutorial i could find
@@lemonsideddice Fantastic! I’m so glad it helped! I also have a video that breaks down the first part of All That Jazz. It’s on my dance playlist. Hope you guys have a successful audition! Let me know how it turns out😊👍🤗
@@sandrainontario6710 I prefer to think of it as “breaking down” steps slowly… hence the name of my channel. Some people just want or need steps/choreography broken down slow enough to learn it . I usually tell people I just give choreography for fun or break something down but if you want to become a true dancer go take dance lessons at a studio. 😊
@roxiesbroadwaybreakdown5599 thanks Roxy! I'm 75 years old and although I took a lot of dance lessons when I was young I'm way past that LOL. I was hoping to pick up that thing everyone is doing on Tic Tok with the they both reached for the gun deal
@@sandrainontario6710 Ohhhh, believe it or not, I’m not on Tik Tok…so I have not seen that- lol. But I think that’s awesome that you are still movin’ and groovin’. You go for it😀👍👏👏👏👏
