I dream about those pineapple macadamia pancakes when I am not in Disney! So so good! Kona breakfast is a must do for us no matter where we are staying. Even if I only have 3 days…I’m getting those pancakes 😂
Loco Moco is served with brown gravy on top. I’ve had it in Hawaii with Kalua pork in place of the hamburger. Best ever. Las Vegas restaurants also serve a great Loco Moco.
I absolutely love going to Kona Cafe for lunch, you should definitely try it! It's such a nice way to take a break from the parks, cool off, and get some aloha vibes! I love the stir fry with tofu and especially the rolls! I went for a late slot in the lunch service and it was very quiet and peaceful. I had some nice chats with my server as I was dining alone. Love your videos! :)
We were staying at the Poly when you were shooting this and my daughter saw you walk bye as you were heading to the Monorail. We tried to get your attention and missed you. I was hoping to say hey to you and even try to get you in our video 😅 alas…. Keep it up! Maybe one day!

Agree room service is needed esp at the deluxe resorts!😊 What is POG juice? Is that Hawaiian? PS the old Ohana Brazilian style meal with the skewers of sifferent meats, shrimps etc and hawaiian bread,... yummy sides... to end with pineapple and caramel sauce at then end was spectacular...still ok but nothing like that meal used to be.

What I really appreciate from your videos is when you mention alternate ways to get what you’re eating (ie: Tonga toast at Capt Cooks, the pick up to go option). Staying there for the 1st time in Nov and this was helpful! Also if the loco moco is your jam, you need to try a classic Filipino breakfast. Similar but way better meat options

Best breakfast on the loop was when they had the lobster eggs benni at Grand Floridian. My new fav is classic benni at steakhouse 71 because their grits are so good! You’re rocking these reviews! Ty!
Love Kona Cafe! We done breakfast and dinner, going to try lunch on the next trip. Really like their breakfast & Whispering Canyon Cafe for a no frills breakfast as well. We definitely will be making a trip to Gasparilla for the raspberry tart!!😋
We always enjoyed Cape May Cafe buffet breakfast for character meal but haven't been since before covid. It's not near as musc noise as chef mickey and they are dressed in beach wear.... food was good too...had good variety

Nice that Grand Floridian has a well placed smoking section - not tucked away on the far edge of the resort. 99% of the resort is still smoke free - seems fair 😊
It has been so long since we went to Kona! We definitely have to go back soon! Plus, with both parents having tried a Loco Moco in Hawaii they can compare the taste!
The sushi at Kona has always disappointed, so we stopped trying it last year. Number 1 sushi in Disney is Shiki-Sai. And surprisingly second place for sushi is Splitsville! I didn’t believe Splitsville for so long, even though so many people said it had the best sushi on Disney property. Finally tried it and it was the best, that is until Shiki-Sai opened lol
@@wrightdownmainstreet Awesome! You should check out Yacht Club before they refurb it in 2025. As of a few months ago, they still had room service (excellent) and to-go pick up from their Ale & Compass restaurant (good, but nothing spectacular in our opinion)
We have eaten breakfast at Steakhouse 71 but not at any other monorail resorts. I would like to try Kona. We ate lunch at Gasperilla or whatever it is called. We got the flatbread pizza which was quite good.We have also eaten at Captain Cooks which I love and at Contempo Cafe which is good as well. We also ate at Trader Sam's at the Poly outside and I had the pulled pork nachos which were awesome.
I will add pog juice to my next must-do. Coffee espresso and pog juice! If I remember anything you teach us, it's bever-ages! 🤣 (And your friend Nate is bald. 🤣🤣)
Ale & Compass, Steak House 71, Olivia's cafe, & Geyser Point still have mobile order to go, but may have limited menu's. I did hear that Trattoria al Forno is working on bringing theirs back, but will be limited as well.
Thanks for sharing. Always wanted to try Tonga toast, maybe one day. I really don't know how you can eat that much though. I barely eat anything when I'm at Disney which is a bummer because I miss out but I just can't eat a lot. Again thanks for all you do ❤

Great video. We'll be there August 31st for our daughter's 21st birthday. Can someone tell me if they have turkey bacon and/or turkey sausage. Pork sends my husband's blood pressure through the roof.
I hope this years d23 expo ends with a bang. My concern is even if these land expansions does happen the quality of the experience may not be at the level we all hoped.

It's been over 30+ years since I last visited Orlando & WDW. I've never been to the Polynesian Hotel. Just so I understand the restaurant situation. There is an Ohana Restaurant and a Kona Restaurant? Am I right? Is there a bar food service in the Polynesian? Does that have a special name with bar food service? There is so much, and it's hard keeping it straight. Thanks!

When we went a few weeks ago we got the mimosa flight. Our waitress told us about it. And no the sushi isn’t worth the price tag at all.

Ohana & Kona are the 2 full service restaurants. Tambu Lounge & Trader Sam’s are 2 of the lounges that also offer food.

The pog juice is unlimited at other buffets, but- it is significantly watered down, to where it has almost no taste, and is not good.
