We explained why we couldn't get in. They said not to worry about that and got us in for free. They sat and talked for a while, then they played the show. It was kind of sad because it was only us four and two people at the bar. Even though it was only us, they played great show.

I've started to listen to 999 when I was 15, about 20 years ago, together with other early punk rock, hardcore and UK82 scene. I've saw them a couple of times here in Italy, and once a drunk friend of mine took off the wall a Damned gig poster, in a venue in Milan, while the 999 were looking at this scene after a concert, and I said something like "boo Damned, go 999!" and they had a laugh. They were three under a curtain because of the rain, waiting for the taxi or a van. Nick played bass during that period. Great guys and a fantastic, underrated band.
Their DC concert in 1980 at The Bayou was incredible. The band had a bunch of us join them on stage to pogo; security tried to throw us off and the club shut off power to the instruments. The drummer kept pounding out a beat and the band kept singing and we kept dancing. The show did not end until the police showed up!

Covered a few of their songs. Seen them again in Hemel Hempstead with Voodoo Radio, still awesome!!

Ich habe die damals im Ratinger Hof gesehen und fand die klasse.
Old school punk...classic. Shit, I wish could relive those days!
and just when i thought that i already know most of the good stuff from those days, i stumble across this total gem. made my day!
Here in 2020 and I just found these gems, punk tacos on iheart radio has been playing this song and I had to look it up. Thanks punk tacos
