When I was 16 years old, I lived in the USSR, I heard one song from the "Alliance" group, which I really liked. Only thirty-five years later did I find out that this song was stolen from 999. This is very cool music!
love this band really ahead of it's time still sounds fresh today my teenage son likes this band it's nice to know that the youth today are starting to delve into punk of past fab
Saw this when it aired. never forgot this appearance. Listening now they sound heavy and raw like the Stones. what a rocker this track. great to see original bass player he was amazing
saw them loads in the late 70s, my favourite punk band at the time, they seemed to be on at the lyceum in London almost every sunday! also ssaw x ray spex, john cooper clarke police and loads of bands there good days and great bands
Funnily enough was singing this to myself in the car the other morning even though i havent actually heard it for more than 40 years 😁 seem to remember i had it on green vinyl when it came out ? or did i imagine that ?
Did some good songs and wore some good clothes. Let down by the fact that they were obviously attempting to emulate the Clash (and not managing it). Also let down by the fact that the lead singer had a crap haircut, looked about 40, had a whiney voice and was obviously trying to pull "Punky" faces all the time but only managing to look silly instead whilst running 'round like a fat turkey on speed! Pity, cos' "Emergency", "Me And My Desire" and "Trouble", to name just three, were great songs.
Beefheart1 No part of that comment is untrue though it might be argued they redeemed themselves by sticking at it longer than many others. People who loved them loved them big time though, can't deny that.
One of the greatest songs ever!
saw these in bones nightclub reading way back then .. was invited to be their roadie .. fantastic band ❤

Хулиган 😅
That's Paul Edwards on drums. He sat in for Pablo after he broke his arm. I went to school with Paul's brother, John.
I was in the same year at secondary school as Paul.Have a vague memory of seeing him in his first band Milk when he was "Ed Case".
You’re right.. it was me on drums in my teenage years! Xx🥁
Great band ...saw them many times live....5 nights at the Marquee consecutive..

great footage cheers dude,,,
Just luv them och
Brilliant..
Back then, friendship groups were formed, based on whether u watched TOGWT or TOTP.
TOGWT was miles better.
🤩
Their live album is great !!
The first "punk" band I ever saw...circa 1979 at Bookie's in Detroit....
...and it's live.
They have ascended the first 999 planes of the punk dimension. Soon they will reach 1000, a punk nirvana where guitars are life forms.
class!
Abs banger ❤
It's Band my youth!
The new 2020 album, 'Bish! Bash! Bosh!', is excellent as well.
Most underrated band of the punk era...Brilliant
Who said punks couldn't play.🎸

I hear much more of a Buzzcocks influence than the Clash.
Nothing like the clash.
This is magic. The Clash are fucking shite.
