Beautifully shot, composed and edited! Thank you for showing the full potential of the camera! I had a question, how is the 35mm 1.8? All the reviews peg it as a mediocre lens with nothing going for it. But i see it creating such sharp and beautiful images. Sharpness is not everything ofcourse! Could you please share your thoughts on the lens?
Thank you, i really appreciate it! it is actually one of my favourite lenses. i would never call it medicore lol. the autofocus is so reliable, especially with theA7iv, i can run around with the camera and know my shots will be in focus 99% of the time. i think the sony 35. 1.8 is unbeatable for that price. maybe other 35 mm brands are bit better,(i don't know) but for that price it is amazing what you get. i don't miss anything in this lens and i am very happy with it. i use it for short films and fashionvideos. with cropemode you get lke a 52 mm lens. you can also get very close to subjects and with extentions tubes you can turn it into a macro lens. btw you get best sharpness if you turn your sharpness down to -7 in camera and add later a bit in post production.

@@Sachin-gb2ji Hi, no worries i like to answer questions! i do 99 % videowork, when i do photoshoots i use the sony 35mm 1.8 and the zeiss 55 mm 1.8. for storytelling the 35 mm is perfect. after last video i also did some photos of the model and they turned sharp, but i have to say my favourite photo lense is the zeiss 55, i think it is sharper, but the 35 just works great for photos as well.
Amazing video bro! I recorded recently on xavc s 4k using my sony a7iv and I experienced a lot of lagging on my macbook, the video wouldn’t play properly even on premiere pro. Any tips on how to overcome this?
thanks you!, there are multiple ways, you could use proxys, optimized media, set the timeline resolution to quarter, or convert all the footage to prores which runs smoother

@@Asif-u4i if u use adobe cloud you can use the media encoder to convert your videos into proxies or prores, but if you do not have media encorder i am sure there is other converting software as well

hi,thank you, i appreciate it! for the shot at the door 00:11 i used manual focus with focus mapping, for shots like 01:15 with forground elements i use the touch tracking feature and set the sensitivity down to like 2

thanks!, yeah i love it! no overheating problems at all. it just gets warm when i am too long in the menus. i heard some people have overheating problems, but i shot whole day in the sun and no problems at all. 10 bit are so much better for color grading and the autofocus improved a lot.
the western lut, the shoplink is in the description, the outfit, white balance and location have to fit, that it works perfectly, it was filmed in s-log3 sgamut 3.
Nice work and all but the video looks like ..well , video . I wouldn’t have shot on such a bright sunny afternoon . Too much over exposed . The backlight on her hair from the sun is too harsh . I can’t help but wonder had u exposed your shots a little less . The a7iv could have revealed enough detail in the shadows and kept the harsh sunlight under control . Just my 2 cents . Thanks for the video ! Edit : looking at it again it’s overall quite good . The shots from 1:00-1:11 look for worst and the shot at 1:41 . Iris down maybe would help

all shot in 4K and for most indoor shots i used a black mist filter and for all shots i turned sharpness down to -7
