He is literally giving yall dope tales of his come up wit Dre. Shi he dont have to do. Cuz he definitely seem like the type that dont give a dam bout the spotlight. And all yall can do is comment on his appearance smh. Dope interview. I remember Knoc watchin rap city back in the G. Dude wuz definitely talented
💯
🙏🙏Blessings forever GOD loves y'all too forever tell everyone you know and don't know. Jesus loves y'all too forever. Teach everyone how to see and enjoy their blessings too forever
pure factz my g !!! and again these mfrz talkin about his appearance will never in life accomplish what he has or even come close to sittin in a lab with the greatest artist/producers
"Ho ain't short for Honey, almost had to Wailer like Bunny" - 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Stop saying literally
I’m 56 and ever since I heard the name I felt it was one of the hardest in the game (Knocturnal)🤘🏿
45 on 12/3...I understand
But the music didn't add up. It wasn't enough then he went ghost 😮
Damn you was in yo mid 30's when he came out huh owe gee
I copped 2001 in 5th grade, when Hitt-man and Knoc’turnal’s projects got pushed back I was devastated..listening to Knoc go off on Lightspeed still gives me chills
Lightspeed blazin chronic through the galaxy hydro doja chocolate thai weed or we might be sippin on gin or hennessey fuck that where that new shit the chronic iced tea!
He solid . We was in CMC West in 95-96. We was on the same yard for 2 years. The homie ran into him when he got with Dre at a concert. He took the homies backstage .We from the other side. He never let the overnight success blur his vision. Never acted funny or like a weirdo once he got on.
This was a great interview, thanks for letting him speak, I spent some time around Knoc in the early 2000's and he's a good dude. God bless him and his family
I remember saving my lunch money and going to Sam Goody to buy "Knocks Landing" 2Pac "Loyal to the Game" and 3 6 Mafia "Most Known Unknown"
I always loved how Knoc rapped. He was so unique… right up there with Tash.
Whoa there bud. Tash is on another planet compared to knoc.
Tash was so dope
Knok is not trash
I remember Knoc back then. Had music videos on rotation. From what I remember, he was next up, especially being associated with Dre. Drugs really got the best of him, damn.
I did a couple songs with Knoc in Dallas around 2004. Good to see he's still here. My G was guzzlin gallons of Hennessy like water.
that stuff was like candy to me in my alcoholic days, i can def see how Knoc would be drinking it like water.
@@donw2175 Remy is stronger.
@@antoniomitchell1883Aren't they both 40% ABV?
It looks like it
Sadly...bro is only 48@@Blackmagicjoker83
Appreciate him doing the interview,i know still to this day its rare to see him pop out
I believe you. Wikipedia has only one sentence to describe him. That's crazy
I don't know much about details or his life but I can tell you this, when I heard him over here in Sweden I was like whoa, who the f is that. And when he just disappeared I often questioned where he went. Because he had a unique voice, it sounded so cali. It matched so well with Dre's beats.
KNOC-TURN'AL was always one of my favorite mc's!! he also helped write
PUT IT ON ME
(DJ QUIK FT. DR DRE)
CLASSIC SHIT!
Them Californian streets are vicious. Looks like knoc been in the rougher terrains for too long. Still his mind is clear and sharp. 🔥
I remember Knoc from way back. I truly believed he had next when that Bad Intentions came out and then he just kinda disappeared. I remember the Take It Easy song with Missy but it’s like WTF happened? I thought he was Dre’s next great find. The youngsters don’t know who he is or his affiliation with Dre but they should go back and listen. It’s hard to convince people now but anybody who’s old enough to remember felt like he next in line.
His music kept getting leaked & bootlegged _They kept shooting him in the foot
Facts
Right, Dre was on a roll with Em, 50, Busta, and then he was just gone
Happens alot remember powder 🤷♂️
@@jasoncaine2600from Mo Thugs?
He reminds me of an older version of Ab Soul
GREAT comparison
Notice when he said Positive Vibrations he got a little uncomfortable. Js
He’s damn near his twin, talks alot the same, same mannerisms, same facial hair and wears sunglasses
@@localandonlinepreciousmeta3575 A 1000% chance yo aZz ain't Black!
Damn I had no idea he was behind so many sick tracks. I still have the bad intentions single on vinyl.
God bless you Knocc, you had a legendary run and I hope your contributions still taking care of you 🫡💯
My man needs to Go to europe with all the classics he got
good to see you again brotha! last time I talked to you, you told me that you were headed back to Cali... next thing I know I'm getting stopped at the stop light by people telling me that you was with Dre now.... Rock on Bro!
A lot of people don’t know Domino was genuine draft on the banging on wax album.
Damn I didn't know that
Thanks for this!
Let's All Roll, my fav. track from Knoc!!
I remember when this guy first came out some 20 years ago, I thought he was Snoop Dog part 2. However it seems like he never quite blew up. Looking at him now, it looks like he has lived a rough life ever since then.
Ran into Knoc’ in Las Vegas back in like 2009…looking just like he is on this interview but off the alcohol something serious
I thought he was gonna be Dre's next Snoop
Dr Dre opinions and how he moves in the studio 7:30
This dude has lived a hard life. He looks hella old. Can't be more than 50.
Knoc-Turn'al is one of the realest cats. Always been cool since way back when he didn't have to be. I used to bartend at a restaurant he would come into with his friends/family and he was never ever not cool. Always said hello, always looked you in your eyes when speaking, always a pleasure to have at the restaurant, tipped graciously too. Not tipping like "I'm a baller now or remember me next time" type of vibe but tipping like "I know the bartend/wait staff struggle is real" vibe. Never forgot it and I appreciated it then and I appreciate it now. Can't say the same for that cheapskate dirtbag Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue. One of the cheapest mf's hands down. Came in all the time. Gets out of $100,000+ car, eats $80-$100 worth of food with his friend, leaves $5 tip, if any tip at all. Like servers are trust fund babies and our wealthy parents are making us work for life experience or some s***. LOL. Whenever he came in, no server ever wanted to wait on his cheap a**. I never forgot that dirty scumbag either! LOL!!
Dope interview Knoc's a smart cat you can hear it in his conversation.
Around 2006/2007/2008 he use to live on Oleander circle in Buena Park across from Knotts berry farm. My cousins use to stay over there that’s when I met him. We hung out a few times and would bust freestyles a few times. It was cool he was a very humble person. I wish him all the best
Damn that alcohol did a job on ol boy... classic case of fumbling the bag
Definitely.. first thing I noticed.. he looks like he DRINKS drinks.. straight alcoholic vibes..
@@badnewzscubasteve yep
Dude needs a facial and a barber and drink some water and eat some fruits get your health together money and fame ain’t everything
🎯 indeed
We seen Knoc' perform at a Power 106 concert at thr Glen Helen San Bernardino yearrrrs ago. He signed this folder and big poster for me, also gave a promo CD, which had "Nite-N-Day". Such a dope vibing song right there.
The way Dr. Dre let's you know your music sucks is if he delays an album with you on it for 15 plus years.
The first time I met this brother was in CMC state pen. He was bangin LB 20s. He was layed bac. One of the homies from 76ECC introduced me to cuzz. I was working for Lifestyle Records at the time , when I came home he was scooped up by DR.Dre.
Super dope interview
He was Nipsey Hussle early 2000s
Nipsey uncle
@@daviddave8266 that not his uncle
No he wasn't.. tf🤦🏾♂️
This foo’ is on the lyrical level as the DOC.
He may have disappeared but he had some bangers with Dre back in the early 2000's. I always wondered what happened to Knoc.
I'm from New York and that was one of my favorite records at the time it was just a cool sound that drinking smoking strait west coasting was dope big up to knoc
Please bring them tracks out and let this man eat!
fact
Knoc was nice… good to see him. Dropping knowledge…
It's nice to see Knoc, I always wanted to hear more music from him, such a unique talented mind and voice 👌👑💎🤜
Knoc had talent man. Blessed with vocals.
That Dope ate his ass up. I hope he has kicked his substance abuse issues.
Dre ain't like 21 questions n that shyt flew

That's good OG Legend #Knocturnal. How you put that together about Legend Producer #DrDre. I can see how he's a big influence..
🙏🏾🤲🏾🌍🌎🌏👍🏾✊🏾
Knocturnal a west coast legend I got the chance to work with him on some musicI learned a lot on how to record and song structure
Outside of his work with Dre he delivered a SICK ass hook on Westside Connection's Lights Out
Westside connection feat knoc turnal lights out is a straight banger!!!
My man Knoc’. Good dude, he use to come thru the Mark Spark mansion and we use go to the LA Confidential studio off Venice. I also remember dropping him off at the studio in Glendale a few times.
from being on MTV to this Man up brotha Dre owes u ROYALTYS
Nice interview..good job 👍..shout out Knock..sounds like a real one!
Knocturnal was fire 🔥 dope lyrics
Knoc album was cold. I like was my track. still bumping it.
I thought Knocturnal & Mista Grimm were dope and would have a more successful career. Glad to see he's good #Salute
Maaaaaan whatever happened to Mr.Grimm?
1 hit wonder
@@RS-rd7dm”Allegedly” he got out of line at a party hanging with them Long Beach boys and he got fucd up and that was that.
@@Blah678shows how you know NOTHING .Grimm is GOOD…
Knoc was dope, I still play his music 🔥
That Let's all roll was a lyrical masterpiece.

I bought his Cd and I liked his sound He could probably rap better than these new mumble so called rappers
What an incredible interview!
9:22 if you wanna know how Dre let you know when you off
Crazy how much ab soul look and act like knoc
You pop lock 🎶 We pop glocks 🔫
He did a lot, wrote for the greats. Has some amazing songs & is appreciated. Still guy his albums💿
I had his album, he wasn’t bad at all. Shoutout Knoc
I wish he had blown up higher or bigger as an artist than he was. Bad intentions was a great record and I didn’t know he was on the chronic 2001.
Black and white I'd think I'm talkin to someone from thunder bay 😂😂😂
I always liked that song bad intentions, always listened to, but I learned something, I NEVER KNEW WHAT THE Word RAP MEANT until now
Respect 🤜🤛💯
knoc a real cool brotha ✌🏿
Aint never seent nobody sip henny quite like this dude i swear
i love ahmad wow i didnt know he rolled with him. i didn't know he wrote bang bang on the chronic
I never understood why Knoc NEVER represented The LB in his music.. always said L.A instead? Nobody besides LB homegrowns knew he was from the Eastside
Perhaps cuz Snoop and his crew Reppin LB hard.
My man Knoc!!!! 😎🫡
what he says @ the 1:02 mark is 1 of the realest things i've ever heard anybody say....i too, have experienced growing up, alienation from being bi-racial & feeling like i've never fit in with anybody or been accepted
Just like in many families some folks have great cooking skills and some just don't cut it 😂
Between... Between the sheets 😂😂
🎉🎉🎉Cheers to one hell of an interview, with that O.G. Knocturnal. Keep doing your thing Big $teele @ #The#Gangster#Chronicles
Ive got nocturnal stuff ,but never really heard him talk about his life, this is interesting to hear.more knowledge
Listened to Who I am a lot, loved the l.a. confidential. . . Bad intentions and his hook on some l.a. n!@@as off chronic 2001 why I bought it. Dr. Dre made two chronics and this is chronic 3. . .
One of my favorite songs
Dr Dre let you know I ain’t letting none of you ninjas in off me anymore
It's funny what you said about who he puts in the game
38 year old unknown white boy from Cincinnati and the Highwaymen MC world from Detroit, but guarantee Dre would like what I got for him.....eventually, but I promise it wouldn't take long. Got a unique story but never once rap battled or nothing like that, just hee-hawing in the pod n shit like that. Definitely a little shy of it all, but I'd get right over that just because someone like Dre gives you their time, you get the fuck on with it yo. Shit just some of the poetry I got might even blow his mind, ya heard me. I think i'd have to deliver it in a bit of a slick smooth way because Eminem already got that crazy white boy serial killer vibe going and you can't be a copy cat. They got acts for coopy cats when you can't afford the real deal at your party but yeah.
When Dre notices that your music suck he decides not to stole it 😂
Lol. To be fair. He is a "producer". So thats wat comes wit it. To me its kinda genius that he took from all these diff people to create his signature sound and feel. And again to be fair without Dre all these people wouldve jus still been on the block
Ahmad from Loa Angeles dude 76 street and Vermont
Lets get it Knoc!!!
I remember Knoc!
I love it Yea thats what i mean its a magnet program!
Ahmad like back in the days.. oh my god no wayyyy... dude...THE WOOD thats like the best song ever man i wondered where this guy went but i heard he craig macked it like behind the scenes.. thats great hes doing well
