Remember everyone.. quin had a 45 minute NORMAL maven. The fact ziz did uber in 30 is still 12837127591x more damage
You have to admire the sheer mental fortitude required to fight Maven, of all bosses, for that long.

I think releasing meta builds at league start is always the play, but showing players you CAN push off meta builds to kill ubers is always good, especially in the meta only echo chamber we live in with poe. Hope to see more of this type of content in the mid-league period.
sad thing is you pretty much have to play meta builds these days. lategame went up so much, that fun gimmick builds are only an exercise in self flagellation.. 😕

Hey Ziz, thanks for showing us alternative ways (and make us think ourselves more - at least me) of whats possible - even when not as maximum power or optimized for "top" currency strats like the meta builds.
I would like to see more stuff like that - im really missing content like a heist/lab runner this league or comparable stuff, as a LOT of trade videos are just about T17 and i dont enjoy them - even though i get theyre insane money. Some of us just love running heist or lab still, even if theyre "just" 10-15d/h on trade.
So far, i enjoy all your content and learn new stuff every day! Thanks for that, keep doing great stuff for PoE!

Dude, your gloves are OP, just put them on any meta attack/cast type build and they'll be better than any other glove in 99% of the cases.
That's simply just not true. They're good, not the best.
Wilma + soul ascension is still a very decent league start combo, especially with toxic rain. I've started using that in Ancestor (because of unique boss in ToTa) and it's a nice combo to get some free dps when you don't have lots of currency.
Used it as a starter in Affliction doing maven invitation D2 with this and a +2 bow with T1 atk speed which is an amazingly cheap entry cost for a rather tanky (because PF) build.

ziz's item that the use case is you need to be a HC char, that farms uber bosses , finds these gloves. Then gives those gloves ot another character then you have an alt that can farm ubers on hc but super slow. Insane
crit ea went very well for me a few leagues ago. stacks up really fast and you dont need to play dot :)

Go poison dmg only thing viable now for artillery ballista, im kinda a artillery ballista specialist if i should say so my self been my main thing in 8 leagues now my poison setup got dot cap dmg with 20 overlaps on ubers 76k phy hit taken 140k ele hit taken 46k chaos dmg taken 1,8k life regen progenisis :)
Use anything other than a dam bow! Make a Fleshripper build, staff build, Rakiatas build ...... anything new please! Theres limits to builds, we all understand that, but not all the community wants to

I experimented with Storm Rain Ballistae two leagues ago, and found it to be quite good even with a 30C bow, so it's a shame that the targeting is so fucked for this skill; it wasn't with Storm Rain Ballistae (both of them are essentially arrow rain totems). I could even map with it without wanting to commit suicide.
Would love to see more unique off-meta builds, especially when you describe your thought process. Makes for great self-made build learning material
Maybe altirelly ballista of focus fire trasfiguired gem could mage single target better dps ?
I feel like Toxic Rain may be a better skill to use with this set up. Youre halfway to being a pathfinder with all the flask duration and charges you get already
i love stuff like this. i do a couple wonky builds every league and most of the time they make it through red maps and are fun to play, but need 500 div to be "good". i think this is a great way to wrap up a league imo.

tried using these gloves in a few builds and i'm sorry to say they are just terrible, good idea but the execution is complete trash. Really wish they were better than they are, if i wanted soul eater so bad i'd just use zerphi's

Well Soul Ascension wording sounds like youre not getting Souls Eater youre just getting soul stacks.
They removed lines about loosing stacks so this should be perma unless youre getting soul eater which you don't with current wording.
they removed the line bc soul eater base has the time limit for stacks
But technically this is not soul eater buff just stacks of it. Unless line about losing stacks is referring into souls not the buff itself.

It's a chase item it's supposed to be good , it isn't progensis by itself that makes you unkillable , it's stacked with multiple other layers of defense, if JUST equipping progenisis and nothing else made you completely unkillable that would be bad, but that's not the case, you can do the same thing with defiance of destiny which is like 1/20th the cost of progen

I love seeing you try off the wall builds - even when they don't work out - later in the league. Save the meta builds for league start guides.
i feel something like scourge arrow and going say pathfinder poison with a high phys+dot multi bow would be way to go. lots of projectile spam and thorns hitting everywhere
