Excuse my newb-opinion, but for the 11-12 seconds from 24:48 this video should be pinned on youtube or even the internet as a whole... I am a not-so-good enjoyer of PoE, I find global chat extremely distracting but I did get some useful info and some gear (that i am still not using, even after 2+ years, just got no character above 60) out of some interaction with global chat, but the best comment ever there is "I play because it looks pretty" which is what I do. All of this because the video represents this, I couldn't get much out of most of it (for example I still don't use item filters...wrongfully so), but some statements or stories are pure gold. Well done. Plus the pronunciation, totally unlike some legends mentioned in the video.
Yaa, PoB segment... Openarl for getting the ball rolling, localidentity1 for picking it back up after it was dropped when Openarl got hired by GGG (kinda just stopped updating it, and only really did the tree his last few leagues iirc, wasn't accepting MRs, so it got forked), and the numerous contributors (it's an open-source project, so a group of ppl still do the majority of the work, but some are adding bits and pieces around releases etc.)
So many worthy of mentioning. Empy, Jousis, Grim, Palsteron, Ghazzy, Lolchohol, Demi, Mathil, Esoro, MBX, Subtractem - all of them makes the gaming experience better, either by guides, builds, crafting or pure entertainment.
Man, every time I see Mark Roberts, it makes me so happy. Dude is living the dream but it's 100% because of so much hard work and time and passion. It really helps when I see the rest of the industry and just the most milktoast of developers at the helm of huge AAA companies. Then I think about Mark and GGG and think there's still some hope. Also it was super cool to see Mark lose so much weight too, awkward as that might be to say. I think I first saw on the PoE2 stage and I was just like, "Fuck yeah, Mark!" Dude could probably do anything he sets his mind to.
I kinda wish Eirikeiken, The Father of Worms, The Wormblaster, to be in this list. That man preserve through 5 consecutive nerfs toward writhing jar, but finally rested in peace with flasks charges gain changes.
i think bec's should make a slight appearance in these videos , always liked reading her posts. Jousis is another one as well his videos always cracked me up.
I know this will rub people the wrong way, but I don't like Zizaran as a person. Sure, he's a great PoE content creator, but his attitude on Twitch left a sour taste in my mouth. I had an experience with him where he was extremely petty and toxic and his chat basically endorced this behavior. I'm almost positive he had a bad day or something and this was only an outlier, but I didn't want to stick around and find out.
I think this just applies to a lot of content creators. Most of them got the happy salesman voice on RUclips but then on twitch they are more human. I really don’t think this is specific to ziz. Mbxtreme is a great example of this. Dudes a dick on stream lol he consistently flames his chat for no reason but on RUclips he’s so happy and likeable.
@@jrossbaby141 Agreed. Hard to be 100% every single day. It was just off-putting for me because it was literally the first time on Stream, specifically due to me liking his RUclips stuff. I'll still watch his stuff every now and then, but I don't want anything to do with his "community". Same goes for other creators, although I'd probably make an exception for Aero and Esoro. They seem way too chill.
Actual proper legend: SuitSizeSmall / poelab. He runs every single lab every single day, for everyones convenience. The way nobody is even mentioning the guy says alot about how much for granted people take such a massive, selfless effort.
I've been playing since 2013 and still remember the day I first played. A friend from Marvel Heroes introduced me into the game and I remember frustrating him because I wandered around and ran away from rhoas instead of staying close by to him. I only came back to Path of Exile full time after Marvel Heroes shut down and enjoy it to this day.
Since you mentioned Ziz's Guntlet you probably should also show Badger and his BPL, competitive league with three factions in pursuit of common goals, the only big PoE event where you essentially build teams with random players to make a collective effort
Havoc and Dan for the next part. These two are my GOATs when it comes to skilled players. Even if there may be others outdoing them nowadays they spent a good 8-9 years on the absolute top of this game.
Another less known but still famous in it's own way is GCPMan from back in the old days. Guy single handedly managed the GCP economy when the recipe was still unknown to most.
Path of Math was a great creator. I probably had a similar rant during the garbage league that was Kalandra. The difference is that I was in the privacy of my home. I probably wouldn't have really gotten into this game without him.
Love these videos! Cannot wait for part 3 now! Since You mentioned Quin, I really hope you mention his biggest supporter and rock climbing god, Mathilification!
Excellent video as always. I love these looks into the past ... amazing I've been on this train for well over 10 years! Can't wait to see who's next in the lineup. Your work is cut out for you ... too many to chose from!
Proud of Mark Roberts and I don't even know him. And for the few leagues I did play POE I'm so glad for Ziz's guides and Neversinks filter. Thing saved my cp for sure.
Being able and willing to play live demos on stage with the possibilities of things going wrong is a true sign of a great developer team. Additional example: Larian
Great series! People I'd like to see included would be Mathil, Bex, Empy, SuitSizeSmall, Pohx, dsLily. They are the one's who have had the most effect on me that haven't been in the series yet.
Of all the things listed in the last video, the only one I didn't see that I half expected was openarl, for PoB, but I'm curious if you're hesitant to mention him by himself, when LocalIdentity's community fork has arguably been as important as the creation of PoB itself. Great video either way, very excited for part 3!
Path of Math maybe didnt use the best words to adress what was happening in POE or the best manners. But he was absolutley on point on all of his criticism. GGG was driving against player base and he was the only one to stand up and speak about it, that whole year of POE was absolute trash, player base was declining rly fast and GGG was too selfish to adress that it was their own fault.
Please normalize clip audio levels next time. Some clips are loud, while others are quiet. It's a pretty easy thing to do and will increase the quality alot! Thank you, love your content
It's cool to see neon referenced I played with him and Dominion way back of the day during open beta and watching him and dominions antics on stream was always the funniest s***.
I think it would be interesting to add the creator behind the "Putrefyspoilrotanfester" char in Hall of Grandmasters. As far as my understanding goes he's a pretty known PvP player (as small as that playerbase might be) and it would be nice to hear something more about him, if he's even active still.
Was happy to see Kripp being the #1, as his role in PoE's upbringing is no question. Surprised though that NeverSink was not included in the first video. (No hate, just surprise). Been playing closed beta thanks to Kripp, and ever since NeverSink made his loot filter, it's the very first thing I update (along with path of building) after updating the game. I 100% would not even continue playing the game if it wasn't for NeverSink. PoE was "playable" before due to the contributions of people that made it playable such as, but not limited to things like poe trade, poe wiki, and of course, filterblade. Honestly, I don't know what NeverSink gets from GGG, but I really think GGG owes its success in large part, thanks to NeverSink.
I was a Path of Math fan untill he got off the roxker a bit. He just needed out and was not able to so GGG helped him out and to see it was not good for him. And the Mark/Neon story is such a motication and hope it will be a motivation for some to chsse their dreams. 🎉🎉🎉
I recommend Pohx due to his RF wiki and guide. There is no other better PoE build guide for PoE that explains everything about the build and holds your hand. So many new players started playing his RF build.
Jousis and i saw you ban him! But Josh Strife Hayes absolutely deserves a spot on this list, for his interviews with the devs over the years if nothing else!
Sirgog and the Prohibited Library Discord folks have done SO MUCH for the game as far as calculating drop rates and item rarity. PoorFishWife for all things fishing related. Empy and his crew for their end league projects that have pushed POE to its limits. Teh Hammer for all of the lab racing and emperors might jewels. Demi for his wild crafting and real life drama. Ghazzy for all his minion contributions builds. And Cutedog!

my hero!
thank you for filtering my loot! ❤
Thanks for your work
Thank you very much for your great contributions!
SuitSizeSmall? the absolute beast running labs EVERYDAY for years at this point. INSANE.
100%
Dude, Neversink's intro was APPROPRIATELY EPIC. Actual legendary man.
The Conqueror of Loot.
We cant forget POB devs.
Oh yeah, we need to see LocalIdentity in there.
As a nice transition, you could also include subtractem

Witnessing the PoM drama in real time was something else 😂
Nice part two ... but it's a crime to cover Zizaran without including his catchphrase "try to die less than I do" ;)
UNDISPUTED!
@@Karonar BEST. AXE. IN THE GAME
Another awesome entry into this series, loving this one! Neversink's contributions to the community are nothing short of legendary
the Belton hint at the end of player 7 YIKES LMAO
Surprised Mathil is yet to be included in either video so far. Responsible for the most volatile fluctuation of market prices for items in POE history
I think it's hard to pick fame or infamy for him. He's famous for his builds, but infamous for the changes to the market lol
@@DC20_Art_Check I don't really think it counts as infamy to make items wanted.
The hottest PoE player (even if we are including the women)
@@DC20_Art_Check First Atziri kill IIRC.
Most boring player with good builds...
DeMiGodkingLoL surely should make the cut in the next video
Yes!! The OG drama

Holy fuck i hate POM and demi so much

Jousis all day, that track, and that quack!
I miss Demi's videos.
Esoro is to blame for my love for CoC Ice Nova... the most fun build I've played I think ever. So sad it's dead.

He is also great for having managed to slim down as much as he did. I bet there's a few poe players inspired by him in that regard.
Neversink is the reason i still play poe, would be impossible without his filters
I feel like Alkaizer should be here
And Corgos, he's pure evil
One that came to mind immediatly and was surprised to not see him in both videos was LiftingNerdBro.
Neon has lost so much weight he looks great these days:)
Yeah good for him.
Woah I completely forgot what he used to look like. Amazing :o
I hope, when Grimro time come, the introduction is the "Grimro fever dream" XD.
I kinda wish Eirikeiken, The Father of Worms, The Wormblaster, to be in this list. That man preserve through 5 consecutive nerfs toward writhing jar, but finally rested in peace with flasks charges gain changes.
Sirgog and Empyrean. Also as for infamous ones, add someone like FastAF or any of other ones printing "1 divine T17 build" videos
Dexykai
yeah fuck FastAF
Baker, Havoc, Etup, Nugi and Kerkrom
Tarkecat, ProjectPT, LiftingNerdBro, ItsYoji
I also things these guys have to be mentioned.

Wow I know all those name.... Maybe I have playu too much PoE and watch too many video now.
@@seb4sti4n666 there is no such thing as too much poe! And with PoE2, we will have another amazing decade to come.

Havoc, arguably the best racer of all time in various formats

Mathil1, the creator of the infamous Ele buzzsaw and Fakner.
