It is possible that he is going through some changes in his life. And would like to take some time away from social media. Which is a good thing to take time away.
The Internet is a strange landscape. You can be "famous" and then stay anonymous at the same time. It's frustrating when contact information is lacking.
I actually watched him for a bit before finding you, AKM. I noticed after a while that I found his video titles were starting look a bit like clickbait-with a a lot of the subject matter being a bit too negative for my taste. Hopefully, as he’s “under renovation”, he’ll find the right content to post being refreshed.
I also find the recent news with AskJapan's channel strange because he said before that he does YT to make extra money since his wife is a stay at home mom
Asking the million-dollar question we all want to know! He said he has multiple channels. A channel popped up on my feed I suspect might be him but I didn't investigate. It was all shot from the upper arm down no words just the guy going about his day in Japan. It was samurai something or other and as we know ask japan was obsessed with samurai. Your haircut looks nice
Are there any other interesting channels you follow? Around the same time I found your channel, I found Nick K, an American from Texas who lived the last twelve years or so in Japan teaching English to children but then around the summer of this year came to South Korea made videos about cycling all around South Korea. His channel grew very quickly, especially from new Korean subscribers.
Wasn't he making his problems with his wife public, against her will? I had unsubscribed from a dude like that. That dude was toxic AF. People were telling him to get offline and deal with his problems before driving his wife away.
Never knew about him...he is probably tired of doing them... Or he won the Lottery and is super 🤑 rich... anyway stay positive and keep enjoying life 🧬❤
I feel like 50 year old Japanese man is going through a rough patch now? And he is redefining his channel. Also I have been watching some videos from him.
Your not an average Korean man you’re an awesome Korean man and I am the average korean American man (AKA GYOPO). That is a big house for an average korean man!
I think I had once this channel in RUclips recommendations, so I've seen maybe one or two videos of him - and I remember they were really cringe. A man in such an age doing nothing, but complaining publicly to people in Internet about his everyday life, behaving rather like an emotionally underdeveloped kid, not a man of his age, and badmouthing publicly his family, just to get more views in Internet. In my opinion it's not really funny, rather boring and pessimistic, to listen to someone's such litany of complaints. But about Japan I usually watch other channels, like for instance "Takashii from Japan", Gabriel Hyodo, sometimes "Oriental Pearl" (cause I admire when someone speaks more languages so well, like her). Sometimes also a channel of one German RUclipsr living in Japan (also to practice a bit my German).
I believe AskJapan is making a lot of money from youtube and day job and living a good life, he is too negative in his YTs and I believe he got complained and has to take down his videos. Alternatively Samurai Daddy and Samurai Daily Vlog show more positive Japan daily life.
Sometimes people who post videos on very regular basis simply stop because they are just burned out. There is a lot of pressure to satisfy your audience and it becomes an ordeal. I watched some of his videos but thought it was a lot of fake self advertisement going on or he was just plain stupid. As wife I would have kicked him out. It is one thing to be in a midlife crisis but that is just another period of time where you have to get things sorted out and move on. In my opinion there is always a solution. That does not include sitting in a wardrobe, snacking Doritos and drinking Pepsi whereas he occupied the whole living area with his stuff. Could easily sit there and tell his tale (almost always the same) and not in a wardrobe. The job is miserable, the wife is miserable, the daughter annoying, kids are too expensive and so on. As we grown-ups in Germany say: life is not a pony farm.
The sad thing about marrying the wrong person is how lonely they can make you feel. This poor guy is going through some gut wrenching stuff and you want to drop him off at the knacker's yard. "As a wife..." you say, shyte is not wife material. But meanwhile, you stay sweet!
@ it takes two to tango! He clearly disrespected her wish to leave the children and their family life out of the media. We call it washing the dirty laundry in the wide open. No wonder his marriage was not running smoothly. What I personally did not like about him was how he has seen his children just as a burden, playtime and all. And we all have to work, bring in the dough, take care of our children and the homes. The children were really sweet and just normal children. No husband material. No father material, just a big old boy.
да, когда человек с определенной регулярностью публикует и публикует видео, а потом пропадает - это вызывает чувство беспокойства - не случилось ли что
I just watched this channel. I don't think it's him because Samurai daddy mentioned that he lives with his wife and a son. Where as Ask Japan also has a daughter.
But I think a popular RUclipsr could at least say goodbye to the subscribers or explain why quitting. Give an excuse of some sort why they quit posting.
Oh I have never realised that he is gone. I used to see his VDOs every morning in my feeds. Good for his mental health.
It is possible that he is going through some changes in his life. And would like to take some time away from social media. Which is a good thing to take time away.
I hope he and his family are all safe and healthy ❤
I think he turned 51, so he is no longer '50 year old Japanese man' 😀
That's a really good question, thanks for asking!
I was thinking about this recently and then I noticed your video on the YT homepage. I hope he and his family are doing well.
Thank you for posting this. I have been wondering about him. I was thinking his wife watched the videos and told him to take it down.
Would love to see a video with both of you guys in it.
I would too, actually. I’d love to see a collab!❤
@@thechocolateglasses 🎯
That post is why I checked our your channel.
Not his wife, because he had some videos where he was having meal together with his family. So she obviously knows about his channel.

You guys are my favorite Eastern RUclipsrs 🙏. I hope to see him back!
I hope he and his are okay. 🎉
Your videos are good
Hope all is well with him and he is having fun somewhere with his family 🤗
❤❤

I miss the 50 years old Japanese man with midlife crisis

I hope the two of you connect and get along. An occasional collaboration could be fruitful.

Oh yeah I know Nick K. He became so popular in Korea
Wasn't he making his problems with his wife public, against her will?
I had unsubscribed from a dude like that. That dude was toxic AF. People were telling him to get offline and deal with his problems before driving his wife away.
Maybe a break from social media. It's needed sometimes for our mental health.
Are you worried your workplace or boss will find this channel?
No...my channel and the work place has no correlation at all. They can't tell me to stop doing RUclips.
50 years old go and 51 years came
maybe he is on his samurai winter ark
Good morning from china
Never knew about him...he is probably tired of doing them... Or he won the Lottery and is super 🤑 rich... anyway stay positive and keep enjoying life 🧬❤

Was he your idol or something?
No but I just got curious why he's not posting anymore.

Yes, many people used to say the same thing
He's a goat. All asians should stick together ✊️

I think his RUclips got hacked
I miss askjapan. Where is he!?
да, когда человек с определенной регулярностью публикует и публикует видео, а потом пропадает - это вызывает чувство беспокойства - не случилось ли что
i wonder if he's youtuber called .... Samurai Daddy
I just watched this channel. I don't think it's him because Samurai daddy mentioned that he lives with his wife and a son. Where as Ask Japan also has a daughter.
I hope he's ok! I like dorito time in the closet
Maybe he just wants to stop doing RUclips? Plus YT is not his main source of income
But I think a popular RUclipsr could at least say goodbye to the subscribers or explain why quitting. Give an excuse of some sort why they quit posting.
askjapan send proof of life video so we no you still alive
I once see a video that Japanese . It’s nonsense. Not interesting.
Maybe he is a fake and it was all scripted. Because it was very easy to tell, he farmed so many videos with the same title.
