I always believed that the reason why negotiation fell through for NAC's return is because GH allocated its big bucks for the return of those 2 actors and therefore did not want to give NAC his asking price. If what I heard from Soap Dirt about Kelly Monaco being fired after 20 years is true, then she is probably the victim of GH's latest budget cuts, just like the original Lulu. I think the original actress who played Lulu was not asked back ( she said that she was waited to be called back, but heard she was recast) because of budget cuts. As a legacy character, the original Lulu would have had to be paid a pretty penny if she returned. Instead, she was recast. So, it looks like GH put all its eggs in one basket (Jason and Lucky), and some of its long term characters like Sam will end up paying for it by the termination of their employment. The most exciting thing I've seen on GH since they abandoned the Sprina storyline was Molly ripping into Christina for losing her and TJ's baby. I hate to be the downer, but I do not think Lucky will make GH any less snoozy than it is right now. Lucky will come home, he will save Lulu, Laura will be thrilled to get her son and daughter back and they will dominate the storyline for a while. During this domination, the writers will reveal Lucky's backstory, and that, will probably take forever. Then we will settle into the usual routine storyline that tries to keep our interests. GH is definitely in need of a blood transfusion, and I don't Lucky and Lulu will succeed in pumping those veins into the kind of dramas that makes soap operas exciting.

Last time they brought back Holly, they tried to create a triangle between her, Robert and Diane, and none of it was pretty. I guess they are bringing her back in association with Lucky because Lucky has a sibling (Ethan)that was the product of an affair between his father Luke and Holly. According to Soap Opera Spy, Lucky's back story involved him being in Africa working side by side with his brother Ethan. As to what kind of work they were doing, they did not go into it. From Lucky's own description this past Monday to his captor, I gather that they are involved in mercenary work just like their father Luke. Whatever the case may be, GH does not seem to have the budget to create the type of special effects that would match the adventure that these past legacy actors made famous. There are just too many players on the payroll and the writers are lackluster and void of creativity. The fact that they fired Kelly Monaco (Sam), one of the more interesting characters and long time veteran on the show speaks volume about why GH is in the toilet. Frank Valentini does not know how to prioritize its actors or the storyline. They need to bring in writers with creative ingenuity that can bring fresh life to the stories they tell. This Lulu liver failure plot will not move the needle on GH'''s rating, nor will Lucky's reappearance on GH. Jonathan Jackson is one of their better actor, but without good writers, his talent can only take him so far. It appears that Porsha is about to do something unethical to Heather's blood that will have a serial killer like Heather looking innocent, while totally compromising Porsha as a villain. Since GH is right now trimming the employees on staff, maybe going villainous is a way for them to phase out Porsha. Who knows! I love the way that the writers handled the funeral of TJ and Molly's baby. Now, if they can bring half of that drama to the rest of the characters, they. can call themselves a show. Including Nikolas ,Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) ; and Jonathan Jackson who started the role of Lucky in 1993 when he was just 11 years old . A longtime Fan y favorite. I have watched GH since1980 as a First year High School Student at age 15. Many of these characters are my favorites I watched Lucky grow up on GH and Jonathan Jackson is now 42 years old .
