IndyCar really needs a good console game. Hasn't had one in 20 years.
100% Going to my first Indy 500 this year made me truly realize how badly we need this.
Well grid autosport has indycar in it but it's not the full series

I bough nascar heat 4 kinda as a joke since it was on sale. I wanted to go real fast and real left but it inspired an actual love for NASCAR. Indycar needs a good game because I know it’ll do the same for others.
Honestly Iracing should've had the NASCAR license before MSG to begin with. Hopefully the Indy Car game can be saved in time.
They should’ve, but MSG threw around fake money and projects for them, and we all saw how that ended up
@@reamesyy they ruined NH5 with that 2022 update. It removed a lot of the 2020 dlc paint schemes.

Codemasters wouldn’t have been a bad choice, but iRacing definitely seems to be the absolute best for NASCAR on the gaming side

The F1 game sales are dropping massively. People are seeing them for what they are. Scams. It's literally just the same game every year with very minimal differences. You're essentially paying £70 for a couple of re-skins. They need to do something different like add in classic tracks no longer on the grid like Valencia, Caesar's Palace, Watkin's Glen, Nuhrenburg etc. And the option to drive different era F1 cars and drivers.

Agreed. It restricts the development of the game to a singular developer and seeing as they have no competition for the license, they can just release mediocre games and get away with it as long as the exclusivity rights are renewed properly.

I will tell you one thing. If iRacing gets the oppotunity to finish this game. This IndyCar game will be bigger than EA’s F1 games.

Reiza studio have experience with gMotor physics engine that is use in the game… and is a hard core simulation studio. It may be interesting for them to write in it.

I don't think it's as close as he think it is, if I remember correctly the footage MSG shown was just taken from RFactor 2 and we never really saw from the actual game.

If you followed the history on the IndyCar project you would know that it was no where near complete; only a few static screen shot were ever released (3 if memory serves) and MSG kept pushing the date back.
Combine that with this creator's continued shilling for N21 / MSG when it was blatantly obvious that N21 was a complete failure and MSG were fiscally incompetent.

Nice click bait video. As you even clearly read it's not in development, it's just assets (track models, car models, source code, etc) that can attempted to be reused that have been handed back to IndyCar. They still need to obtain licenses (such as Unreal Engine if they want to use that part of the source). Read the actual SEC filing (posted May 23rd, submitted May 17th) which is more clear. Also those 50 hours are probably going to be useless since the developers who were working on it are no longer part of Motorsport Games, unless they have some sort of clause to provide said assistance under contracting work. Lastly... if they were that far along in development as you suggest, why didn't they go the Early Access route that Le Mans Ultimate did?

At 42.00 minute mark he explains what happened and why it was never finished and more importantly how it was never close to completion when the decision was made to stop development.

While it'd be cool to get an IndyCar game when IndCar is shopping for new devs I could just as easily see iracing or whoever saying that what MSG had wasn't good enough quality for them to want to be associated with and that in order for them to feel comfortable putting out an IndyCar game they would want to build it from scratch
That was my first thought. Even if the game is 90% done, if say iRacing takes over, they're now responsible for every part of the game. Is that supposed 90% up to iRacing standards? Seems a lot more complex and nuanced than the OP video may suggest.
This is the best news I've heard in a long time! I just really want a standalone IndyCar game so bad and I hope its gets in the right peoples hands (I really think EA would be a good choice) and comes out sooner rather than later!

EA sports would be a excellent choice because they already dealing with the F1 franchise being The physics of the cars would probably be similar they would be the best choice and not to mention their experience with racing games in the past

INDYCAR needs to look at either milestone games to finish it out or better yet Codemasters which they’re in the car part in that game for grid auto sport was actually really good so I think that’s what they need to look at. Is that possibly and you know maybe that might be the individuals that can finish it.
Honestly if this game comes out, it has to have blowovers after hard contact with the wall, AND wheel contact blowovers or air moments, not hitting the wall like ignition and yeah
