Then you say you’ll count down to the totals of their numbers (7). You deal 3 cards and then as afterthought, put the deck onto the 3 cards, and ask someone else to do it. It will now be at 7.

thats what i was thinking for 2 and 3, but the hook behind it makes it less strange if u are as jolly as he was while presenting them.
also he gave u the main crux of the move, now u have to play around with it to be able to make it comfortable for yourself.
