I really look up to this dude. He’s knowledgeable and successful. I try to emulate the strategy of the best players because they are successful. This isn’t some stupid poker coaching from a broke tournament player. This is solid advice from a someone who has been successful for more than a decade.
😊 thank you, Rocky
These Top 5 and Exploit series are both fabulous!
Thank you so much! I'll keep them coming!
Hi Phil, I would like a video about "gameflow", perceived image, metgame, timing tells, and how to implement exploits based on these thinner information. Love your channel.
That point at about 5.30 ie that some players don't know why theyre betting is a very deep one. There are a lot of extremely fundamental poker concepts mentiomed here in a very clear way. Brilliant! Ty, Phil!
This is pure gold in under 10 minutes. Poker will be getting even harder with this type of content available for free... Thanks Phil, really appreciate you putting this out there. Have a like and subscribe my friend 😃👍
No, POKER will not be getting harder because Phil is leaving these tips,
They got mad at Doyle Bronson 70 years ago for coming out with his book because they thought it was going to ruin poker.
The big key here, is most people are exceptionally lazy. And that’s why we can make a living playing poker - even with incredible training material like this, available for free.
Thanks Phil, I am going to go over this one a couple of more times. This is just what I need right now
Awesome. Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Phil, great series of videos. On #4 it's hard to compare betting on earlier streets to the river because if you most likely have the best hand, in my opinion you want to bet so you don't give your opponent a free 🆓 card ♠️.
Invaluable information, thanks Phil.
Thank you. I love hearing when people get value out of these!
This is excellent
Thanks Phil, huge fan,you are the one poker player I would not get tilted to lose all my buying to, Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
Yesssss.
My biggest leaks are on the river for sure.
Though I knew most of this already this is extremely valuable information.
You drop some absolute knowledge bombs when it comes to thinking about poker. Thank you
You’re very welcome!
Why or how can you be so good Phil Galfond!
Great video. Value betting in spots where there aren't enough weaker hands the opponents can call with is one of the most reliable tells that someone is on the weaker side of the spectrum.
These video series are very very sick.
Nice vid. Similar to dealing with underbluffers in terms of valuable condensed general information. 👍
Thank you!
Great videos Phil! I like you're video's may be you should start a training site 😁
Great idea! 😃
At mistake 5 I would add that against passive bad players, betting small with your weak value and bet big with your strong value hands yields the most EV.
It is the typical thin value bet on the river you do not want to miss out on.
So it is only a mistake against good aggressive opponents.
Agree
River mistake number 6: finding yourself in a pot with Phil Gandalf
the no5 is interesting

Phil this is a very good, content, love the channel. But you need to process your audio better! Either record at a lower level and amplify it in post, or use what is called a "limiter" to prevent all that clipping. Or hire me as your producer!
So how many ways am I playing the river incorrectly?
Phil: *”Yes”*
😂
I wish Phil offered coaching
😀
Bluffing on the river ? Still remember the Bluefirepoker video, where Lagasaurus bet into you, and you had 77's.
What about "its my turn, so I bet." I do that a little too often
You have a water dispensar in your room? Pretty gangster
Poker theorists who don't play poker think preflop is the most important street.
Its seems important but I don't get it 😅
great content, but why do you pretend not knowing the question beforehand?
I truly don’t know the question beforehand.
@@PhilGalfond okay I believe you ofc! 1
You have too much gain on that microphone, it’s distorting.
not the first time :)
yes, please adjust :)
Noted, thank you. Unfortunately, we've got a few videos already recorded, but I'll look to improve the audio before the next recording.
Hey Phil! Love the video!
I have an idea/suggestion, my subconsciousness brought up this gem of yours lately -
ruclips.net/video/8mhenXZSNhM/видео.html&ab_channel=RunItOnce
I recall once in a RIO monthly elite call you answered a question of mine and said that your off-table study is revolved around game-planning against opponnents. I would love to see a follow up/revisit of that video in that kinda vein, how do you approach game plan and building exploitative game plans.
Thanks for the suggestion, Alex! I remember that that video took me forever! But I like the idea for a future video. Maybe I can figure out how to product it faster.
@@PhilGalfondAppreciate the reply Phil! That would be a dream come true :)
Why you cannot bet 1.5 times pot if you get top pair top kicker? Isitreally tooting value
.
I think a lot of these "tips" are not useful at low stakes. At low stakes our opponents aren't particularly thinking about what we are doing.
Know ya range, and shut ya mouth! Do you smelllllllll what the gandalfs simmin?
