Thank you mate! yes..the Dk600/Siel Opera6 inspire me so much..they cover unexplored sonic territories..more then other most famous but inflated polysynths...like Junos, Prophets, Polysix..ecc
wow..that s luck! yes..unfortunately these Siel suffer for battery acid leakage that compromise almost all the machine..making it unfixable... the only few survivors from battery leakage are pretty rare today
beautiful micro compositions! Do you have an album of your music out there? I‘d buy it! I love the envelops and VCAs of Siel Opera synths. They are just different. Much more snappy than the typical Roland JX8P or Korg DW8000.
@@Napalbe if you happen to start a project, and you would need a collaborator, just PM me. We have quite „compatible“ taste as it seems. And I own a Siel Opera as well (plus a fully loaded recording studio including Steinway grand, drum room, big analog mixing desk, tape machine and all that stuff…)
Adding just a note: This is, I believe, the synth that incorporates the highest number of SSM chips. Hearing the sound, I'm not surprised it's so lush and smooth.
I was wrong... DK600: 2x SSM2031 VCO, 6x SSM2024 VCA, 6x SSM2056, 6x SSM2044 VCF Prophet-5 Rev 1 & 2: 11x SSM2030 VCO, 5x SSM2040 VCF, 10x SSM2050 EG, 21x SSM2020 VCA So, same number of types of SSM (4), but much higher number of actual chips (47 vs. 20) But that's a good comparison of the sonic qualities and a worthy opponent to lose to!
This was the perfect demo for this unit. I also have this same unit, with the Tauntek CC mod. Very interesting lush sounds

Doesn't look like much but SOUNDS really amazing! Thank you for showing your skills and it's sound capabilities to us!!
Thanks to you! yes its really ugly Aestetically...but gorgeous in the soul! 🙃
love this synth. I repaired one for a friend in the 90's... wish I bought it,
yes..it s an incredible sounding synth..unfortunately i had to sell it ..some regret...but i still have my Opera 6 (not expander) which is the same
Beautiful! Such an under rated synthesizer!
thanks man
yes indeed...amazing sound from an underrated synth
WOW! Amazing sound and great patches! I can't wait to repair mine (and a few DK600's too!).
Thanks mate!
Siel made amazing things...
Found one in the dumpster (!) a few months ago! Quickly grabbed it ! Have no idea if it works though!
wow..that s luck!

@@Napalbe maybe I should let you watch inside it!
Nice thing to have, kind of similar to the Korg EX-800
similar in the shape maybe...but in sound it s a different monster...it sounds unique and rarer then korg..😉🙃
@@Napalbe Yes, any SIEL synth is worth having (I had the MONO and Cruise at one time).

Absolutely! With 2 DCOs, sound is warm and punchy..better then Juno6 for me...

Is this the sound module of the dk 600 or the opera? Also it looks like you can edit the patches with a standard midi controler???
Exactly man...
it is the Ex600..a Dk600 Rack version..with Tauntek mod installed on it which able to CC controlling and other features...
