Why do I love the 3DS so much?

- After many times of being asked why I love the 3DS so much, I have finally narrowed down my reasons that make the most sense to me. Not only does the 3DS hold a lot of nostalgia for me, it's a handheld that has standed the test of time.

How can you possibly do that
As a fellow 3ds lover at least for me, I grew so close to this console because it was at the point in time where i began to understand the internet, and having a console that was MINE to allow for online play and browsing was insane. Also huge shoutout to the Metal Gear Solid 3ds, I'm sorry for snagging that before you. Great vid man, I'm glad there's a wave of people bringing more light to the 3ds

The 3ds has to be my favourite console ever with its charm and game library and the ds backwards compatibility makes it even better
Also there's 3 games I keep wanting to get but putting off to get for it, smash 3ds, mario maker 3ds (you know the bad one) and minecraft new 3ds
I came to the 3DS world quite late, back in 2017. I got a second hand New 3DS XL White Pearl back with a faulty home button. Curiously enough, a coworker had lend me his original red 3DS around 2015 but I barely played with it, but then when I got the new model I became obsessed with it. I’ve managed to get many different models and exclusive editions. My daily driver is the SNES edition and my holy grail was the same as yours: Hylian Shield New 2DS XL. Recently I’ve stopped getting new games because I have gotten most of the ones I liked, with special mention to Dragon Quest VIII in Japanese and Xenoblade Chronicles. What a beautiful console it is.
I absolutely love this system to death. It was the first console I bought with my own money, and I got Detective Pikachu and Ocarina Of Time 3D on it. To this day it still stands out, the games are fun, the hardware is satisfying, and it’s just genuinely a great portable.
The 3DS is pretty new to me, but I really love the system! I'm hoping to expand my library more, and hopefully one day, I'll find my first person through Streetpass!
3DS is my go to console, I bought it when I was a little kid and grew up playing Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, AC... the 3DS game catalogue is unreal. Streetpass was exciting as well, I always got so happy when that little green notification popped up! I've recently bought a new 3DS XL, so I try to play new games whenever I have some spare time. The Nintendo 3DS will always have a special place in my heart, glad to see other people who love it, great video Nich, keep it up! 🚀
I share your love for the 3DS and that is the one system that never leaves my pocket! Man, I feel like this system the whole family of them is the best console ever made!
The 3DS was the first console that I saved up for before it launched and bought on launch day. It was such a magical system. I'm so sad that I sold my original 3ds. It was supposed to be an ambassador system, but it wasn't anymore when I sold it since I had an issue with the triggers and the store I bought it at just replaced it. I lost a bunch of digital content because of that :(
really sad to hear :/ I've moved on from my childhood console just to preserve it as my childhood self would've left it
Therse something about the 3ds, I never owned one growing up but I got into it about 2 years ago and it quickly became my all time favorite console. The charm, the design, the dual screen, the 3D, there will never be another. Pour one out for the 3ds.
I have an original base model flame red 3DS and it's also a beauty to look at. And that feeling you got upgrading from a DSi to the 3DS was even more amplified for me since I went from the even older DS Lite to the 3DS. I also didn't get my first smartphone until like a year after I got the 3DS so yeah, at the time it definitely was my most advanced piece of handheld technology.

I'm waiting for an Aqua 3ds to arrive in the mail and I'm so excited. I originally owned a 2ds with Pokémon X on it around mid 2014. 10 years later and I finally get the original 3ds experience
As a fellow 3DS lover, and owns a 2DS. The 3DS is my most favorite handheld console that I always taking it on the go whether if I going to anime conventions, my friends house, parties, anywhere in public to get StreetPass from anyone who has his/her 3DS's. I love to play 3DS games on my 2DS, and also I loved to play my DS games that i owned on it too and its a emulation machine so i can play GameBoy/Color, GameBoy Advance, SNES, and Genesis games on the go. I'm still playing my 2DS every day and night. It sucks that Nintendo is shutting down online servers next year but at least I'm still playing my modded 2DS and I got Pretendo now. So yeah, the 3DS/2DS a hidden gem for me and everyone else who owns a 3DS or 2DS

I had my 2ds when i was 8, it was the cheapest and most popular console in italy at the time and i had so many memories with it, now i sit with it on my lap, waiting for the servers to shut down...
I agree with you. I have a PS5, Nintendo switch and my beloved 3ds. Yet I always play on my 3ds more because it's just fun and easy to carry everywhere. I will never let go of my 3ds
Same here but I just got a used 3DS to play ACNL and I'm learning. I love it so far. I just don't know how to save my game progress. I'm used to hitting the minus sign on my Switch lol

I have a large 3ds collection. Love the console. It has so many excellent titles.
3Ds was huge the games the experience and the people that where met through the console was a unique experience that I miss :(

2 words: fragrant story. That was a fun $4 campaign with a separate physical shop after long awaited dlc (reprint sadly).
On a serious note, dragon quest vii improved so much from ps1 version though you may need a guide for the tablets, which at least there are locators.
Project x zone 2 was fun though i wish you could skip the juggling battle animations.
2ds with a game like nsmb2 was a nice way to phase it out as later stuff didn’t have 3d.
ive got the 3ds e3 conference recorded from when g4 was a channel.
one issues is the eshop exclusive games you can't buy now that were not physical as well.

Reason for the price going up are due to both DS and 3DS games are harder to play it on emulator due to 2nd screen. Can definitely crank up up rendering and resolution on 3DS games but not using full screen to play 3DS games feels off and games like kid Icarus are must played with styles
I honestly think DSi is better handheld if you can only have one since it’s cheaper to buy and GBA and DS games are much more clear on DSi screen.

Man it sucks that Nintendo is shutting down the Wii U and 3ds online servers next April;I don't understand why multi billion dollar companies do this when it probably costs them near too nothing to keep these old servers up
They probably shut it down because they are getting ready to focus on the next big Nintendo console.
And their services are very expensive to keep up with all of the hackers
Are there things as someone creating a probably illegal private server? I know ffxi has a private server for PC that i just learned about. But thats a game not a console. Serious question if this is possible.

i was 14 when 3ds released i got one on christmas and sold it for 50 bucks maybe 6 years later regret
2:54 back in day i only had sony ericsson no touch screen all apps costed money
and no youtube app 2007-2008
i didnt use my 3ds long peroid the power light barely come up
and camera app didnt work supposedly when i sold it
i only test for games

I want it to have the 3D effects, and be backwards compatible with 3DS games. It would be called the Switch 3D.

I was born in the wii days and I missed out on the 3ds, not until like 2020 for some reason, I found out about this thing. The switch was 300 dollars and that was way too much, so I got a 3ds xl of eBay. 2023 comes by and I love it, then one bad day, I dropped it in ela class and the hinge busted into pieces, I was so sad. Then this last August I got a 2ds but I couldn’t transfer all my game saves because wireless stuff didn’t work after it broke! So I lost all my Mario Maker worlds and Smash Bros save, every other game I had I did not lose somehow. But now I’m still using my 3ds and got and met someone who had the same model 3ds xl I had.
