£7k wow 😱. With the cost of the car included, you could have got a 2017 M2 for that money and still had change for your insurance! Not to mention that you probably could have sold it for the same money you bought it for a couple of years later. M140 will only depreciate further. Just my opinion

Dude, there's a big difference between a "young person can be successful" starting out themselves from scratch, and a "young person can be successful" being employed by their dad who has built a business empire over 43 years! You've been kind of honest but kind of embarrassed too in your explanation... you have no need to be, just own the situation wholly with no smoke and mirrors! Problem with the b58 motor is difficulty getting over 450bhp. There's a hard fueling limit obviously so it doesn't step on the toes of any M cars. Meth gets around this but I'm not a fan of this. I know because wanted to go pure turbo on my 340i but honestly not much reason to

You should try the drive to Norway. Via France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark using the Great Belts Bridge. Then Sweden via Malmo then up to Oslo and using the Atlantic Highway up to the North Cape at the top of Norway. Its 2 weeks worth of driving. It is outstanding!!!! Give it a thought. I've done it in a Civic type R and again in a Jag XKR. Great roads and scenery.

One thing I don't think you've touched on yet is the Harmon Kardon set up - I love my music and didn't think it was very good. And after sitting in my brothers Mini with the HK system - it was miles better. I've now changed the amp and front speakers-awesome. What do you think of it and any plans for upgrade?

@@hampshirephoto I've found the ZF to be perfect for daily driving, lovely and smooth, unless you want to thrash it, then it is sharp in sports+ etc. Genuinely don't think there is a better gearbox on the market than the ZF, unless your spending koenigsegg money, as their gearbox is a masterpiece of engineering.

You don't have to put *filmed before uk lock down*. lock down doesn't mean to literally lock yourself indoors 24/7. You are still within your house if you're standing in your driveway. The point of the lock down is to stop social interaction, not to stop people standing in their driveway.

Not true at all, in auto guise I've averaged 31mpg over 30months and 30k miles. Manual will obvs be thirstier though. Easily get 40mpg on a long motorway run using eco pro and its auto coasting
