    I can’t believe Ethan was 16 during the filming of this part (we’re the same age). I was obsessed with this video. It always made me not just want to go out and skate, but also just enjoy the act of riding a skateboard. It also made me want to shop at thrift stores, visit SF and live in urban areas.

    I was just thinking how amazing it would be to go back in time to like 1900 in san francisco with a skateboard, you'd be able to bomb all the hills you wanted and you wouldn't have to worry about getting hit by any cars

    I wish that there is another brand that has so much style as Stereo had in the mid 90's. At the time I ttought the brand 'blue' (incl. Jason Lee and Chris Pastras) was the coolest. When Deluxe came out with Stereo, I was proven wrong. I still strongly belive that Stereo also helped pushing skate artist to a higher and new dimension. Awesome stuff!

    • @bennyshambles
      @bennyshambles 4 года назад +1

      Best all-around skate company/team from that time by far. Obviously bLind was sick in the early Gonz/J. Lee days as well, but Stereo had a complete and fully formed aesthetic. I’m actually kinda surprised Gonz didn’t join Stereo instead of Real in 1996 or whenever that was; that would’ve made more sense, even though I liked Real a lot as well. I also wish the rebooted Stereo Sound Agency would have been through Deluxe because they make the best boards.

    • @danielsaredi
      @danielsaredi 4 года назад

      @@bennyshambles So true! Didn't Gonz have 60/40 before REAL and Jason Lee and Chris Pastras had 'Blue' before Stereo. Both were great companies as well. Basically they were all connected to 'Deluxe' distribution at the time, as far as I can remember. Nowadays it's different. I never forget the style in Ethan Fowler's or Matt Rodriguez's part. Actually they were all sick parts at the time! Damn... I really like having these memories.

  • @cttate

    whole video is amazing
    and why are people even talking about mike mo and malto, etc?
    skateboarding is so multifarious, theres room for everyone, without anybody ruining anything
    more kids are skating today because of bam and sheckler than ever before.
    what the hell is so wrong with kids finding something as liberating as skateboarding?
    because they started skating because they saw a tv show?
    you didnt just start with no inspiration, someone had to have inspired you to try to skate.

    didn't say anything about anyone skating for the wrong reasons, and he got to where he is today by skating for a very long time. He didn't start skating to get famous. Anyone who actually does that is most likely going to fail miserably.
