Actually when my Grandfather joined British India BENGAL Regiment that time Azad Hind Fauj was not there... it came later. My Grandfather was a great Nationalist & a honest follower of Netaji. Nehru was reluctant to send Indian Army when Jinnah died. Its Patel insistance that womaniser Nehru send in Indian Army. Otherwise, there'll a festering cancerous wound in the midst of India
I don't get why everyone want to bash on Nehru for everything. Nehru was more than ready to send the Indian Army to invade ALL princely states in case any refused to join. Patel convinced him otherwise and said he could do it without force except for a few instances (Junagadh, Hyderabad etc) along with Menon and Nehru agreed. While Patel was gluing the nation, Nehru was visting foreign nations for diplomacy talks. Stop being some bakth and hating Nehru just because. He was our first PM. Respect him at least for that. It is because of Nehru's insistence that Kashmir is in India (he was Kashmiri Pandit) since Patel was more than willing to hand it over to Pak since it was muslim-majority.

Patel had died years before and for the next decade, Nehru was the sole leader. Nehru got elected for close to two decades, a record still to beat. If Nehru was so bad, why was he voted so many times? When the Chinese moved to a dictatorship, he steered us well into a democracy and a model democracy at that. It is because of him, unlike literally ALL our neighbours, we've NEVER had a military coup ever.

My grand mother's father served the British army in WW1, WW2 he met Mohammad Ali Jinnah and gandhi. Because he was the main general in the Indian army. He was one of the first people in India to have a car. He received many British honors and medals.He was also taken a prisoner of war in Burma for 8 years by the japenese He later revolted against the British. later he joined the Pakistani army and served in the first indo pak war. He died in 1961

Hyderabad was captured forcefully by Indian government at that time and Pakistan new borne country was not in a position to help Hyderabad government and its masses at that time, secondly, Hyderabad was inside India and majority population was Hindu and India used that edge. India used same tact in Kashmir with full aid of British but failed because majority of population was Muslim. Due to weak and new borne Pakistan at that time, Pakistan could not liberate complete valley from Indian occupation but now it is time to resolve issue according to the wish of people of Kashmir and UN.
