    Sa mga nagtataka, tinanggal ng Olympics ung division ni Hidilyn (53KG) kaya napilitan siyang magadjust sa 59KG, 6KG higher than her normal division at ibigsabihin din dadagdag ung bubuhatin. We couldve had another Gold with Hidilyn kung hindi tinanggal ung division nya dahil nadamay sa drug misuse issue :

    Hidilyn lost the mental game. But she has the more elegant lift between the 2 . Kudos to elreen, she really won the war. Those saves are something . That bruce lee-war cry i think made the difference in her mental toughness. Great job to the commentators . ❤

    • @bryronify
      @bryronify Месяц назад +2

      To give better perspective, Hidilyn won in 55kg weight class back in Tokyo 2020(21). This class got eliminated and was not included in Paris so she was forced to move up to 59kg class - Elreen has more experience on this weight.
      Sucks that IWF issues took away Hidilyn’s and other athletes’ chance to compete at the olympics.

      Normal tactics. Cut your opponent’s time. Not especially cutthroat or great thinking involved. Diaz showed her class by wholeheartedly congratulating her countrywoman afterward. Good Sportsmanship.

    The way this was reported in maintream Philippine news was simply that Hidilyn did not qualify and Elreen did. There was no context about Hidilyn moving up a weight class and on the rule that countries can only send one in Paris per weight class. I've always wondered why Hidilyn wasn't part of the Olympics team and I never knew there was much story behind it.

    The Olympic committee removed the 55kg weight class where Hidilyn got the GOLD medal that's why she was forced to compete in higher weight class which obviously to her disadvantage.

  • @muffnxman
    @muffnxman 5 месяцев назад +2

    Diaz cleared that 127kg CnJ to win the Olympics as a 55kg. 59kg seems out of her weight class since she was hoping to clear more weight in that weight class
