This was another easy fight. I remember being SUPER excited when I beat heatman and got a weapon I could charge. I don’t know why, but I really liked games with charge attacks. Imagine my delight when I discovered that you could charge Maverick Weapons in Megaman X. There was something that really confused me as a kid. Not too long after getting Megaman GB 1&2, my parents bought me Megaman and Bass on GBA. I liked it a lot. Especially getting to play as a new character. Now that I’m older, I can admit that the SFC original is the best way to play the game. But I have really fond memories of the GBA version. Especially collecting the CD data. Those little cards were my introduction to the extended cast of the Megaman Series. However, poor translation lead to extreme confusion on my part when I got Heatman’s card and it said “A robot created from Fireman”. So I assumed Heatman was built using what was left of fireman. But then, how are they in the same game? Dr Wily must work extremely fast. By association, this also meant that I assumed Metalman was a rebuilt cutman. Now that I’m older, I know that they are actually simply upgraded designs merely based on the OG robot masters. But man, was I one confused kid for a while. Did I also mention that I assumed X and Zero were upgraded versions of Megaman and Protoman? Sheesh. At this point, I had my own little headcanon going before I even knew what a headcanon was.
