Join the Navy. Choose Nuclear program or go with Machinist's Mate or Gas Turbine Tech. After you finish your time in the Navy there wont be a plant anywhere in the country that wont hire you. I did a 6 year enlistment in the 90's... been operating power plant ever since... I have never made less than 6 digits in NJ.
@@tgang7013Don't do it. I was in the navy. It's not worth it. So many of my friends ended themselves over the stress. They banned nukes from going to a certain bridge because so many jumped off it

Typically there is an operator job that leads to becoming a licensed operator in your chosen field. For instance a the plant I work at you transition from Auxiliary Operator (non-licensed) to Reactor Operator (licensed)

Do you have to get in the water if you join the navy? Also same question is 25 to old?
