This casserole looks fantastic Linda and while I'm at it, thank you so much for teaching me how to peel a boiled egg! God bless you Linda. I love you and Sam and your show is the best! 🥰
Hi Linda! I'm making this recipe of yours and Brenda's tonight and it's in the oven right now in fact. It will be ready to serve and enjoy very soon. I've followed your recipe exactly, including the side of rice. How are you Linda? We haven't heard from you in at least three weeks and I'm hoping you're well and just busy with the holidays and all. Please know you and Sam are thought of with great affection by thousands and thousands of people the world over - including myself! Happy new year to you as well, Steve
Hi Steve and happy new year! I just haven't felt like making a video lately....but will soon, I promise. Thanks for reminding me I'm loved!!! You're loved too Steve!! God bless!!!
@@Handsthatcook Miss Linda, I have to share something really amazing with you. A couple months ago when I was out shopping I saw in a store the most beautiful artificial Christmas tree and I don't even care about Christmas trees!! Well this one just took my breath away. It was white with soft white lights built-in on every branch and it was kinda compact in size. I imagined where I would put it and what it would look like in my living room. It was just breathtaking to me. But alas, it was way to expensive for me right now. Oh I could have purchased it sure, but that would have taken monies away from other important purchases/things that I need much more than a silly Christmas tree. So each time I had to go back to that store I would purposely add 15 minutes to my time there before my shuttle van for the disabled was scheduled to pick me up just so I could go look at that tree and sit there in awe of it for awhile. I did this easily 4 or 5 times before Christmas. Then one day last week I was again back at that store and I went over to look at "my tree" and IT WAS GONE! I asked and they told me it had been sold the day before. Oh well I thought, someone is having a beautiful Christmas with it somewhere. Maybe next year I thought to myself, and I left. Now today Linda I took my dogs outside for a walk and noticed someone was moving out of their apartment near my building this afternoon and had tons of boxes stacked ready to go in the moving van and some discarded old furniture they were throwing away.... with.... what do you think was sitting on top of their trash heap??? My very Christmas tree. I asked them as they were carrying things out with the movers if they were throwing away that beautiful Christmas tree and they said yes, that Christmas was over and they weren't interested in taking it with them. I asked if I could have it and they said yes and that it was only about a week old!! My same exact tree!! I couldn't breathe I was so shocked and I hurriedly carried it into my apartment and set it up in my living room!! It's all mine now, finally! Cool huh? I am still in shock. Just amazing.
Mrs. Linda thank you for sharing. Your roll up Chicken casserole. Sure look delicious. I know it's good. Because Mr. Sam said so. I sent the recipe. To my Daughter and Granddaughter. God Bless Both Of You .
Hi! This looks similar to a casserole I've been making since 1977. I use Carl Budding's package of corned beef, 2 slices tucked under a boneless skinless chicken breast, wrapped in a whole slice of bacon, held together with a toothpick. Set on top of enough dry rice to cover bottom of the casserole dish, four pats of butter, with cream of mushroom soup, a soup can of water, and a soup can of milk, sour cream anywhere from a dollop to a 8 ounce carton whatever you have on hand, sometimes a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, sometimes a teaspoon of celery seed, a few shakes of pepper, and salt to taste; bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to an hour, or until chicken reaches 165°F internal temperature. In the 80's I started adding green beans sometimes; and in the 90's I started adding frozen mixed veggies sometimes. I also do this with pork chops, but leave out the sliced corned beef and bacon. This was the one casserole I knew how to make before I got married, and my husband loved it. I haven't made it since he passed away, just seems like a lot of food for just me. But watching you make this has my mouth watering, I might have to make it and just freeze the leftovers for later. Your's looks so good, I never thought about putting water chestnuts in it, genius. Thank you for reminding me about this dish. Thank you for the video and your time. Blessed be. ☺️✌️🖖 😷 *Edited for a forgotten ingredient. And it's 4 chicken breasts, add more for more people, (then increase the time a little).
Hi Linda and Sam! I hope you are well, and keeping safe! This recipe reminds me of braciole-the Italian version is beef stuffed and rolled then cooked in tomato sauce- this chicken is a must try for me too! Thank you!
OH YEAH... yummy dried beef. That makes a great breakfast too. Chipped Beef Gravy over Toast or Potatoes, as I call it... SOS (Sh!t onna Shingle." My great Grammy taught me well. 👍🌻
Hi Linda, We eat a lot of chicken so I’m always looking for something new to do with it. This casserole looks delicious so thanks a lot for sharing it. Take care and I look forward to seeing your next video. Hugs, Dolores 🥰
I have never seen that dried beef in our markets here...but this dish sounds worth it. Although, the bacon would be fatty and blubbery feeling, wouldnt it? I have to have my bacon crisp. So I would lay the bacon over the top at the end and let the juices run out then before serving I would take them off. That's just me though. I always had an aversion to fatty things. But I love bacon and I will have to try this recipe! Thanks so much!! :)
@sandy ross Swiss cheese(or other) and thin strips of veggies,- boxed stuffing or homemade, - cranberries mixed with creamcheese, - cooked rice and mushrooms, or even just sauteed seasoned mushrooms, - the ideas are endless!
That looks real good Linda. I'm still trying to get the recipe for the Strawberry cake I told you about. Is there anything that you fix that Sam doesn't like? Oh and I have some news I got yesterday. I'm gonna have another Grand Baby. We all are hoping for a girl this time. Anyway I will be trying this recipe. Soon as I seen the name of it I knew I was going to like it. Thanks.

Good looking dish. I'll have to try this sometime
This is has me slobbering like a possum! I want some!!!
Thanks for sharing the recipe! Love you both! XOXOX
LOL!!!
That was supposed to say "This dish". I told you I was hungry. tee hee
Looks good 👍
This one will make us go off our diets!
Amazing that the bacon didn't pool into a grease bath.
Can't wait to try this one :)
You can half cook the bacon before hand either in a skillet and save the grease...or simmer/balance it in boiling water for about 10 minutes.
Sorry...working from a phone...I meant "blanche" in boiling water to remove grease and salt if bacon is too strong for your taste palate.

Question: Is the house next door to your house possibly for sale and available for me to move in to?
LOL...I'm afraid not Steve, but what a kind thought!!! TFW God bless
Have you thought about putting the rice in the casserole? As much gravy that's in the pan would be great for cooking the rice.
I thought about it afterwards...such a good idea!! TFW God bless
I don’t eat red meat but I’m just wondering if anyone has suggestions as to what to put inside there other than beef. They do look great.
Ham would be delicious.
