- The surviving UAC Space Marine Lt. Joan Dark (Amy Manson) is transported to Hell where she encounters an army of Demon Imp creatures led by their overlord, Stanga, who are planning to invade Earth & annihilate all of humanity.
Doom: Annihilation (2019): UAC Marines battle monsters at a secret scientific base on Phobos, a Martian moon, after they emerge from an ancient portal which is used for teleportation.

It is and always was a very solid movie. It's crazy underrated, practical effects are top notch. It's a legit movie, better than most movies that have come out in the past 5 years

I was hoping that The Rock would star as a doom slayer and that the film would have a strong kick and should be typical of the basic horde games.

@@JEB511 It's more of a reference. The director stated that he did want the Doom Guy to be the hero in sone fashion, thus Joan getting the BFG with his help, but it's also just a reference to the Blaskowitz bloodline.

I randomly thought of the Doom movie yesterday, and had completely forgotten that this movie existed until I typed in "Doom Movie"
All I remembered from the advertisements at the time was the main actress posting "Who needs a DoomGuy?"

She also needs to look like Olympic Athlete or really buff marine. To this actress's credit, she got the persona down, but just didn't look like she had much muscle. Any of the soldiers from "The Woman King" would have been great.

In all fairness for this one I don’t think a guy could have made the saving grace for this movie anyway 😂 I don’t see why they haven’t done a movie with Doomslayer guy yet. Even if it is him leading a band of other soldiers with him for character interaction and characters to be killed off one by one which would be great for the movie at least its safe to say he was finally included in a film the games literally are about him

Literally anybody could be the doom slayer and it wouldn’t matter, but they have to be a silent badass, not a wuss.
