Mostafa Thanks a lot! And good question dude, I gotta say a bunch of their influences like new order, joy division, The cars, the cure and all those British new wave bands they mentioned.
Like the uploader said, a lot of British new-wave bands from the 80’s utilize synths quite heavily, with some bands using just synthesizers. The biggest/most well known ones I can think of are New Order and The Cure. But saying that, a couple modern bands still use traditional rock instruments (Guitar, Bass, etc.) combined with synths. Two examples off the top of my heard are Interpol and Arcade Fire.
Fantastic work, I have a question for you though. I am debating on whether to buy a Nord Lead or use a VST. Can you let me know which VST software you used and where you got the sounds?
Thank you so much! And ive been lucky to have found the hardware so i left the Vst behind now but honestly Disco Dsp Discovery is a great substitute,The nord does sound better though but for now the vst is still good.i got all the sounds by downloading the factory presets on the official webaite and just searched through. Hope that helps !
Emmanuel Rodriguez Thank you ! and i dont know the names exactly, but theres different ones, the pad is repeated alot and a few were on the microkorg as shown. whatever was played on my midi keyboard was a Nord Lead 2x emulation vst.
Stephen Cunningham Hello that's great! Keyboard/ piano is a great thing to know as a musician. For a keyboard I will say either a 49 key midi keyboard or a digital piano like a beginner Yamaha. As for education there are tons of videos here on RUclips and you can find books for beginners on Amazon or some book stores. hope it helps!
StoneGuy Well there's hardware synths(like the physical keyboard) and software synths(Software usually played with a midi keyboard) You should do some research on these if you're interested
StoneGuy No problem dude! And i use the korg microkorg(the killers use it ) and I have the Arturia 49 key essential midi keyboard to control my software synths

Do you do this all by ear?
Tommy McIlhon Yeah more than half, some i found
Good video!! Do you have the chords? Or where can I get them?
Where did you learn Synth? Online or what?
Yeah i learned online and then in school. Im still learning it right now. There are plenty of good resourced and videos on learning synthesis
i don't understand with synth, so where does the sound come from? Do we have to install it by software from computer or it is pre-made by the company?
