i just got this today too ($59 deal on microsoftstore) damn this has got to be one of the most bang for buck purchases I've ever done. this tablet is actually pretty decent
Thanks for the preview -- the one I'll share with kiddo arrives tomorrow. I expect it will be split between tablet and keyboard use. Suitability for kids is a big plus: they need something for keyboard skills, productivity apps and websites that sometimes don't work on Android or iOS.
Btw is there a NuVision brand stylus for this tablet? I want it to be smooth as possible like the surface pro's and dont want other branded stylus that most likely is not smooth! Thanks

Just took delivery. First impressions is it is a nice unit with pretty decent build quality for $59. Windows 10 Home appears reasonably responsive. The screen is display is excellent. My first beef is that it doesn't support 5 ghz wireless. Using 2.4 ghz radio I am getting only between 20-30 mbps download speeds versus a consistent 80-90 mbps on my other wireless devices, connected to the same router and servers. That's kind of abysmal in my opinion. Still trying to figure out why this might be and am not sure it is a valid complaint given the really low price paid. Guess I will have to play around for a while to decide.
It could be a metal case, or metal plated plastic (which was first used in mass production by Canon for their groundbreaking AE-1 single lens reflex camera. I'm betting plastic (which is fine) because injection molding plastic, then metal plating it, is much more effective than machining metal.
Do you know if the tablet has Windows 10 X64 installed? According to the Microsoft Store it is the 64 bit version of the OS but with only 2 GB of RAM and 32GB of SSD I wonder if it's a typo and the tablet has the 32 bit version of Windows 10 like all most if not all tablets in this price range. TIA
I like it! Surely a good present. I was trying to thing of a practical use for it that would fall outside the realm of my other devices but it may just end up as clutter but I like it for that price too. 😎😎😎
Greggles TV yes I kno I see that you can hook up the Xbox controller and play games that's why I purchase it ..but I no they probably won't like it lol we are used to andriod ....
" it does not have AC, so can not connect to 5ghz networks." The Tablet is 802.11n . N can use both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz. and reach speeds 150 Mbps - 450 Mbps. 802.11ac is 5ghz only and up to 1300 Mbps. However all of these speeds are moot. You will not get any thing more then what you can from your ISP. 98% of us will be well under the 450 Mpbs of N. ( I can get 220mbs from Comcast) .. AC will only help (user device) if you have IPS with fiber of 451+ mpbs. All that being said ... having An AC router is nice because has more streams available (connections), however if the N/ AC part of the user device (phone / tablet / computer) will work.
Anyone having issues with the micro SD slot? Mine doesn't seem to hold the micro SD card in place. I push the card all the way in, but it just keeps ejecting it.
I am way too spoiled by Android fo'real so I believe I would not enjoy it as much as if I wasn't spoiled by the Android experience. great review as always btw my friend. thanks for the share 👍✌✌😁
Wish this tablet was Android instead of windows, windows app store sucks so bad yo....i can't get popular apps like Google play, screen is amazing but the speakers are very garbage
Thank you so much for this! I also purchased the device for only 59! Your review was great! Subscribed!
awesome thx brother and nice pickup!
Hey, how is the performance? Is the RAM up to the tasks?
mine is in the mail, im excited to get it. does the Micro USB port let you put an adapter in it to insert USB devices?
backfandango ok
Best low end tablet, period. Just make sure you do NOT get TM800P610L because that's Windows Pro, which takes way too much RAM for a 2GB tablet.
Awakened Starseed which one should I get
Do you still have this tablet? I really can't find anything similar with this great resolution. I'm having sum issues with it randomly shutting off...

It can hardware decode HEVC/H265 thanks to hardware additions to the Cherry Trail version of the Atom processor.
Just wanted to point out it's a micro HDMI port, even though that's obvious. You had just said HDMI when introducing the ports.
Thanks. Great, concise review

SpencerToons // Spencer Gaming Nope, this is windows, just windows.
the processor is a Intel Atom x5-Z8300 not Z3735F
*Tom Gellert*
There are at least two different versions of this 8" tablet. I've seen both processors listed with different ones.
TM800W610L has Z8300. Your description says Z3735F.
+Technosquid you are correct.
I bought 2 so I don't have to worry about birthdays gifts :-).

My problem is that the card seems to get lost inside the machine. Ther was no response and I cant remove the card....
It pushes very far in, make sure it is actually all the way in
I bought this tablet 2 days before and not able to connect to my wifi network. Could some one please help me on how to resolve this issue?
