I really love the presentation in your videos. One thing I wish was there was a visual representation of the value in $7F74 in all of those demonstrations. The polish is amazing, though, well done!
And to think I pulled this off Unintentionally, non-TAS ! wow, this is like SMW level manipulation, but awesome! I would love one day to see Mitch do the 6-F-2!
The RTA route is a bit different from the TAS route, and they save the P-Wing that the TAS uses for later. Furthermore, the 6-7 set up is absurdly difficult RTA, with multiple frame perfect tricks, ending with the shell despawning off screen while touching a bumped block with a one frame window. Mitch, TheHaxor, and I have all decided that it's infeasible RTA. And yeah, It's crazy how it all happened RTA for you! Again, this wouldn't have been researched if that didn't happen, so I just need to say Thanks!
Just one more thing - i think this can save time in 100% if you can get good at timing it correctly (how you did at the beginning and me in my video) in 2-3. And even more so if you do early hammer in warpless
Thanks for the video. Super interesting! One video editing suggestion though. It would be nice if the text was overlaid on top of the video instead of next to it. I found myself constantly pausing to read the text because I couldn't read and watch the gameplay at the same time. Just my 2 cents. ^_^
Mitch was a part of the conversation when we were figuring out the best uses for it. He's definitely aware of the trick. He's got a shoutout in the video description.
Update: This can be done in 6-F3 by preventing the Thwomp from spawning in. ruclips.net/video/c6mrTLYpWWY/видео.html

This super mario speedrunning glitch video is more well explained and thought out then most peoples collage theses gj.
Ha! I did everything I could to help people do their own experimenting with this glitch. Thanks for the kind words!
Really nice video, this is quite a fascinating effect, and I enjoyed the explanation :)
Nice timesave ("speedrunners hate him!")
Thanks! Now if only it could be done reliably RTA while still saving time. ha!
Another very interesting video! I never knew about this glitch and I have seen a *lot* of glitches :)
