How does one get FL Studio to recognise the proper pitch bend data? I can't for the live of me get that to work without a annoying workaround of bending the pitch knob of Kontakt itself.
My current issue is that I want to do a root+octave style power chord. This would be E3+E4 in this case so I put down an E3 in the midi piano roll and when I play the single note it will be played on the high A string 7th fret which I where I want it, great! The moment I add the E4 the problems start. When I do that the engine decides to play it on the low A and low E string, at the end of the fret board. This gets me a very undesirable tone and sounds awful. I've tried to mess with the force string option but no matter what I choose it keeps going to the low A and low E. I've tried different picking modes, fretting modes, hand positions, hand sizes, min and max preferred frets but nothing gets the notes to play in the place I want them. When I remove the E4 from the piano roll and only play the E3 it works flawless any time. I have no clue how to get Shreddage to behave as I want it to, does anyone have an idea?
same here .... I believe it is a script that prohibits the formation of some types of chords (impossible to make chords with octaves). this certain lack of control makes me very frustrated with their products
Hydra is my daily use, how about another Ibanez 8 or 9 string next please. The new 9 string seems pretty great and the m80m would be an incredible option.
I tend to quad-track using Jupiter and Rogue for left and right, and Serpent for any solos. Is there a way to route the dual-tracked guitar to 2 outputs in Kontakt? I generally do two exports in FL studio to get my 4 guitar tracks. Could you also do a more in-depth video on the slide capabilities of the Shreddage series? Cheers!
afaik there's no way to do that from a single instrument but you can load a guitar twice in the same Kontakt instance, open the outputs panel and in batch configuration, select "clear output section and create an individual output for each instrument" so that each guitar has its own. As long as you set them both to receive the same midi channel, it'll be identical to having one single instrument
I am not a guitarist, a drummer here just clicking together some riffs to play along with the Hydra, but yeah... I find it has "dryer" more defined low-end and it's not that rumbling bass tones. Very nice comparision. So, my decision to go for Hydra was right!
Hi, I put Telos in my cart but yet I'm not sure if I want to click the purchase button. I have a Tele and I love its tone, also for rythm tracks but the fact that you skipped the Telos in this demo made me wonder if the Telos is the right library for me. I want to write pop/rock/punk rock songs. (Volbeat, Foos, Blink, Billy Talent) Is the Telos suited for that particular genre?
Hey Johannes, this video was about low chugs specifically - the kind of drop-tuned metal sound that a lot of our customers are looking for. Since Telos is a 6-string with standard tuning, it didn't fit in this particular shootout since it can't play those super low pitches. But enough people have asked for a standard-range chugs/rhythm demo that we'll do one of those soon too.
Andrew, could you stop reading my mind and making exactly the kinds of videos I want to see? I know getting ideas for videos can be tricky, but it's really disrespectful of my privacy. Thank you.
I don't understand what you did here. The preset is on "INIT" and the sound seems to go into an amp ... which amp do you use ? When I look on the Interface, the only change I see is that you change the pick-up of the neck or bridge.... It's confusing
could Legacy be worked on a bit more to sound more realistic? Those transitions sound a bit artificial, i would love to be able to use a really good standard guitar library
Great video! I own both Jupiter and Legacy and glad to see how well Legacy did here. Older, but still sounds so damn good!
I would love a series on writing guitar and sculpting tones like specific artists, genres, or styles 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Watch my video on that.
are the raw audio files deleted?
How do I select where I want the chords to be played on the fretboard?

Hey, I see you're using FL studio, when I try to add slide notes they don't seem to work, got any advise?
Love your products by the way
VSTs and VST3s don't work with slide notes, only native plugins to FL Studio will work with slide notes
ya BUT they are using slide articulations, how does this work in FL?
@@user-yo1cv2me5lTrigger it with key switches like in other daws

what amp is used in this?
Rogue pleasantly surprised me!
I've got Hydra but Jupiter sounds pristine real

👀
Ngl, I think Hydra is still in a good spot. I'm hoping for something a little spicier like a baritone.

whre is the audio files?
Which amps did you use for the high gain?
the preset on a library
I'm your customer and I want to ask you what plugins are you using to get this sound?
I have the Hydra. I thought the overall sound of Hydra and Legacy were the best in this video.
Completely agree

I'm a fan of ISW, can you share this test MIDI file, I'm learning to use Shreddage3 this will help me a lot, thanks~!
Which has the lowest tuning ?

All of the clean tones are the sound of the guitar, unprocessed. The Crunchy and High Gain tones are using an external amp for an even comparison.
What VST amp is it please? XTC or another?
Share MIDI data, please.
Im still loving the serpent and legacy

Good!
The rogue has a very good attack for metal. For a jent, he sounds the best
Jupiter and Hydra THE BEST... Legacy is old but sounds good... Serpent and Rouge still sound too "artificial" for my taste
What the fuck are you talking about jupiter sounds literally shreddage 2
Its all about that Hydra baby!
Serpent seems to be really going out of tune. I don’t know if it’s on Bb only, but it can be a big problem in the mix for sure.
When you have really low mutes the note tuning often changes over the course of the mute itself, but in context we haven't noticed issues!
@@ImpactSoundworksLLC I was talking about sustain notes. Though could be because of the low scale length of guitar itself?
Right at the start of the riff for example
Wow, once you start adding distortion they all begin to sound identical, except maybe Hydra because of the PU selector.
