Love seeing Thomas taking care of his products and actually making sure they align with what he wants, even if it takes a bit longer
I agree V, I’m looking forward to amp x
I have never known a German to do anything half ass.
problem is, he announced it such a long time ago. For a lot of customers, I know the didn't buy a Amp 1 because of buyers remorse. Also me included, I almost got an Iridum Amp 1 but then the news came for the X and I started waiting. If I had known it takes YEARS I would have bought the Iridium instantly. This way, I never got a BluGuitar product.
I think he should have waited and dropped the finished Bomb. His Stuff is so good but it's like a cliffhanger.
Thomas is a real life genius and speaks with the passion of a true artist. We're very lucky to have him.
Mr. Blug speaks my language 👍👍
Looking forward to his vision come to its fruition 😎👍👍
Andy, I love your interviews. They are all so natural and the passion of the one you are interviewing always shines!
What’s great about the preamp is, there’s no noise, but it doesn’t sound gated where sustain is cut off. Very nice!
Thomas is a top guy ,and very nice person ,it was nice having the pleasure of meeting him several years ago.
Thomas is such a talented guitar player AND amp builder! Love that guy
Sooooooo excited for it. I would LOVE to try the AmpX ASAP and hopefully own one someday! Thomas is a top dude of course.
Thanks! I was unaware of this and it might be something that would work for me 🎉. I like his attitude towards his products.
Fascinating video. Mr. Blug's passion is inspiring. I'm looking forward to hearing the finished AmpX. Thanks.
I now have to look up the Amp1. Thank you, Andy, for doing this interview. 👍🏼
No worries! The amp one is worth checking out
He's pretty passionate isn't he. That Marshall-kinda tone sounded preettty good. I might have to try one. It would awesome to have the tones of the old school amps used in an old school way but without breaking any laws.
Thomas is the man!
Met Thomas long ago. Very nice chap and very enthusiastic.
Awesome this project has definitely got my attention can’t wait to play on this amazing End result will raise eyebrows I’m sure
It won’t go unnoticed
I own the amp 1 iridium, I have a 10 band eq thru the loop and an overdrive pedal in the front and a 4x12 cab...the thing sounds incredible.
That tone is soooo familiar! It sounds just like the tones I grew up hearing! I’m amazed!
It’s coming! It’ll make a big splash!
Thomas is a blessing for us player :) We all use the Iridium in the band! He did also a great Job on the Cabinets. Try out Fat- or Nanocab! Crazy good Sounds!
Oh to have an amp that sits on the floor, sounds great and is loaded with FX.... stuff of dreams. 😂... seriously, the Bluguitar amps are awesome and he can play.
Iam getting one 100%
Fully cranked at any volume...take my money geezer!
I might have to buy this amp X. I’ll be watching out for this. I like this guy.
Sounds very promising!!!
It does. I didn’t get to play it but I’ll see if I can change that soon
Oh my god I thought the amp 1 was good but this looks like my absolutely perfect dream amp at last
Hopefully Blackstar doesn't steal this new one from Thomas!
Got the irridium, don't feel like I need anything else. But i'll try to get the ampx
Woooo! hooooo! Light at the end of the tunnel. I'm counting down the days.
Is Thomas playing his Vintage signature guitar in this video? Seems to say BluGuitar on the headstock. His own brand of guitar?
It his own brand guitar. He don't like traveling with his original fender.😅😅
As a hobby player currently using an Eleven Rack and a Boss Katana (mainly for it's Power Amp in) I can't wait to see this AMP X in person. I thought about a FM3 or a Kemper, but really holding back for this
I like the look of this but I already have the Amp1. It has far more depths than I will ever use. Think of a sound and you can replicate it with a few tweaks. Mr Blug, you are a regular genius.
Sounds great
Great Interview. Thomas is nice guy with good skills in guitar playing and amps. Watched his Academy of tone eralier. 👍
Thomas Blug absolute legend 😇 #stratking
For all those reading this. Listen to Thomas blug live version of,"I'll be there ". Then you'll see how much of a dynamic, expressive and at times aggressive guitarist he is
The Blug Meister!
I can tell this product is going to be awesome. Hopefully he's able to keep the quality he wants at scale.
That sounded good :)
Thomas is a mad genius!! 💜💜💜
I wish it has stereo fx return, just the return section - if possible. The fx send section can be mono. Most delays and reverbs nowadays are in stereo, and especially AmpX has stereo main outs too. So having a stereo fx return would be perfect
I don't know. By this time i thought that the Mercury and Iridium sounds were already done inside the Ampx. I have a Mercury and was about to buy the Iridium but im put the ideia on hold to get an AmpX. Of course I'm on the waiting list and I'll wait as long as it takes to it to arrive. But I was actually thinking that they were already playing with AmpX in Germany...
I wish Thomas commercial success up to his passion and dedication !
That sounds crazy food
🤤
Its got X wings!!!!!
Brilliant bloke
So: we're going to go from what is played at 10:30 to release this year? Seems like a lot of work. But all best luck to him.
Let’s hope!
I thought the same! Sounds worse than the high gain sounds from the Nux MG-30 😂
How much in Britain?
The question is when ? I’m holding my trigger just to wait it 😭do you have any hints ?
Sweet tones come from a cranked power section? Exactly what maestro Tim Pierce says too.
I'm afraid of the price, but I am definitely interested.
2k
@@TheMemagNeman $2k seriously? I was thinking somewhere 1,300.
@@netzarim1277 Yeah, nope. Amp1 is ~800 new. Mercury and Iridium would be 1600, and they are both included in the AmpX among other things.
Maybe on sale or used, some time later.
I know for sure that I don't need an Amp X, but I fear, that I can't resist to buy one!
Yeah, I remember Jürgen Gettner! 😅
we all know its going to be expensive which in this case is normal but I hope it will not be out of reach expensive
2k
@@TheMemagNeman 2 ? it better be good
@@mraybarsx If you bought both mercury and iridium amps (new, not used) , you spent 1740 euros.
Given that Thomas wants to pack a lot of stuff in there (besides those two amps) , like effects, bluebox IR, more granular control over the sound tweaking, presets, I/O etc
it's not that much of a stretch from the price of those 2 amps.
SInce I have Mercury and bluebox, I really don't need AmpX as I am very satisfied with the usability and the sounds of the amp/IR.
But if I happen to have extra money I will probably sell Mercury/Bluebox and go for AmpX.
If they can deliver it, it is probably worth the money.
Especially if you are live playing and studio recording all the time.
I understand 2k is a lot of cash (for some people).
Amp1 is still great and can be found way cheaper.
No pedals ?
Nobels, RAT, rangemaster, tubescreamer...are some of the drive pedals I saw included, on a demo.
Boosts, compressors, delays, chorus , other modulation, replex etc will probably be included as well.
I will do my thing anyway 😂💪
If Blug takes too much longer, all of the competition will have surpassed his product when it hits the shelves! What's it been, 3-4 years?
Even the middle priced modelers currently on the market, like Ampero and Nux, sound better than what was heard in that brief playing demonstration.
Which product surpassed his AMp1 designs?
I just don't get how anyone could catch up to AmpX, considering what it actually is.
What, they are going to copy it in a year?
Blackstar :)?!
@@sanjayb299 This is amp, not a modeler pedal. There is plenty of demos of Amp1 amps around.
Tell you what, since I have one I didn't have desire to play or get another amp. It's perfectly usable in any situation. And everyone likes it, from band members to sound engineer.
Modelers tend to sound anemic, fizzy, often obviously fake and overly processed.
Above all, modelers cannot provide the playing dynamics like AMp1/X.
My digitech RP1 in 1990 did this lol 😂
Nope, this is analog
@@TheGuitarGeek the digitech was also the only thing that wasn't was the digital delays and Reverb but, everything else was all linear analog opamps for the overdrives . There were a few analog to digit converters but it was originally still an analog signal. I know I own one
Was it 100W fully analog amp as well? :)
@@TheMemagNeman No it was 150 watts ! The Johnson Millennium was all Digitech way back in 1998 ! It had all the digital effects with an analog solid-state amplifier! Still impressive to this day!
@@sammyrothrock6981 Really? I thought it was just a floor multi-effect processor unit not an amplifier. Hmmm.
I have Yamaha DG stuff from the 90, both the floor unit (not an amp just FX unit) and the combo amp (actual 80W amp with the same digital effects).
While this tech is still usable (yamaha DG is awesome for it's time, better tone than Katana IMO) it's not near the sound quality or the feel of the Amp1.
You see, this is first and foremost a powerful D-class amplifier with a nanotube in the circuit, that you can carry around with ease.
Of course there are units that deliver tons of FX in a box nowdays and sound good, but if you want a multiple marshall type amps that doesn't break your back this is the thing (amp1).AMpX will try to deliver more amps and FX than Amp1.
Again, the feel of this amp and a digital hybrid is just not comparable.
I see how this could get lost in the sea of digital multieffect units, kempers, cortexes and other stuff, but it's really a beast of it's own.
For home fiddling everything is just fine IMO.
Thomas must not retire before finishing the CabX.
So tired of waiting for this 😂 going to have to look elsewhere I’m afraid.
Republic amps already makes the X amp, people gotta get more original.
do you mean the Gen X? It's different enough!
Thomas is gr8, He will not release until it is to his satisfaction!
