Thank you for the Pond Project videos. I'm in the process of building ours along with fixing some drainage issues. We have a track hoe with a dozer blade on it but it is VERY slow go. Figure I can speed things up with an SVL75-2. Found your channel, subscribed and will learn from you.
Thanks for the comments! After everything was said and done, my ONLY regret was using an elbow in that culvert pipe overflow and burying it deep. It's been a source of a slow leak ever since - around the elbow and down under the dam following the culvert pipe. If I had just installed it higher where the flood line was without the elbow and it being so deep - We wouldn't have the leakage we have today. I need to rent an excavator to do the fix-it job right, it's too big for my baby backhoe. And I would be back at square one after everything is in with fish swimming around and everything... And... We built the dam up too high, thinking it was going to settle - it has settled but not near as much as we anticipated. But we are definitely enjoying the pond...
Lol. You guys are gluttons for punishment just as I….over and …..over and…..over again. Love it
We ended up renting a skid steer - did the rest of the pond in 2 weeks...
Nice! I will be doing this soon. Thanks!
It will be a fun project! Skid steer was the way to go! I did more work in a week than I could possibly do with the box blade and the tractor!
I'm rebuild an old international 444 tractor to use a box blade to dig a pond out and then line with clay.
Have fun! It'll take a while!

Great video. Boring as hell. I don't suppose you can help that. Can't wait to build my own pond. Hope I can stay awake long enough to do it.
Yeah, it's a hell of a lot of back and forth and back and forth.... It's monotonous!
