Welcome to Possum Farms! We use our channel to share videos with our family, friends and the public at large.
Most of our videos are filmed on our little "farmlet" located near Chappell Hill Texas. Our family owns several farming operations in a couple of different states. But most of the video you see will be from our little retirement "farmlet" we retired to after a career in the data communications industry...

Very nice, focus on the eyes like this photographer.
You could co-label this video as Radiator Removal, because there are no other videos that are worth a shit for the radiator removal. But this video saves the day! Thank you!!
how well does it work for a backyard uncovered patio as a heater when BBQing or having a drink and or a smoke with a buddy?
Like others.... Only takes one to ruin the whole neighborhood?
Are they dangerous? Seems that many, many years ago in some of the old historical books I've read they would attack people. Of course they are pretty rare now....
Has there been any talk about the hog population increasing locally? Do you think it's due to all the new subdivision development?
Thank you great video
It helps if they move. This bird has watched.
Aww so lovely.
Looks like somebody's got a good home now, thanks, good job done by all❤❤❤
Just adopted a black kitten too. Now she's beginning to socialize with the others and pay with dog. Her name is Tango
You have to closely supervise Tango with the older pets. They may try bad sniffing, bad licking and if you don’t stop that it will become forbidden sniffing and forbidden licking. Did the adoption screener ask you about any of this?
She's a tortie, they come with free attitude.
I noticed he didn't show putting the roof on the car,,,,,nightmare,,,been working on mine for 2 days,,about ready to put the old ones back on and find the soft foam ones,,,
Nice shooting range at home. I want to build something like this. How is it holding up? Do you know how many tons of dirt you have?
Thank you sir, saved my afternoon
You know WD40 the day before and the wrench that's made to remove rubber hangers would have been a much better plan.
Lovely ❤
Excellent techniques
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hope you had a great trip and a wonderful time too!
I did!
If the fire ants in South Texas (Gulf Coast area) ever make it to where you are, you won't be bothered by the ticks, fleas, or chiggers. That is the only good thing about them (fire ants).
Did something happen to the Nova?
Yep, it repeatedly destroyed itself under normal use. The roller broke away multiple times, bearing holders came apart and the belt assembly became a joke. In the very short time I have used this "new to me" used 30+ year old JD 25A I have mowed more acres than I ever have with the Nova. Without a single problem. The Nova is headed to the scrap dealers yard. Hardware has rusted shut so tight it can no longer even be worked on to repair it. EVERY single bolt on the belt assembly is either not removable or has broken off in the holes. Whereas the 30+ year old JD bolts are all able to be loosened - 30+ year old bolts function like the day they came out of the factory. The Nova, not so much. I spent $2700 on the Nova and got very little actual use out of it. The JD 25A I spent $800 on and have mowed with it quite a bit, without a single issue. Other than having to replace a couple of grease fittings that came out and were repaired easily and I put a new belt on it when I got it. The SPRING tensioner on the 25A works excellent. Something that the Nova sorely lacked. When it got too thick, the Nova would burn belts and destroy them - the JD25A lets them slip a bit and may smoke a little but doesn't totally destroy them. I am sorry I spent the money on the Nova, I love the old JD 25A!!
I thought he was done that’s a clean windshield 😮
So there is a notch to feel for? Am I to pry it towards the rear of the vehicle or towards the front? No wonder I’ve been unsuccessful, if it is supposed to go towards the rear. Day 3 of trying again.
I've been there - slaps forehead... :)
An old ac hose in the middle. Cut the end off. Open low side with an air gun that fits into the center hose, put 80-100psi compressed air. Shut low side now spray soapy water on all of the connections.
I ended up having a pro rebuild the entire system - someone put stop leak in there - which is a big no-no...
Yeah, lower it a little.
I have - and then birds and squirrels come along and undo my adjustments! LOL
Didnt see the zip tie when he rebuilt
Definitely gonna have to do this with mine those look excellent
It not hard it just takes some patience which I have little of! :)
Isnit easy to fit air con into an NC that doesnt have it already?
Honestly, I don't know - all the connections should be there - but you ay need some components...
@@possumfarms thanks mate
Where is your flail mower made at? Would you buy it again? Did you get too aggressive with it leading to its destruction?
Made in china - wont ever buy one again. I treated it "normal" - I thought. Ended up replacing it with an old used John Deere mower and it has been cutting my grass like a dream since. THIS Chinese made POS is now at the scrap yard...
Just ordered a pair for my Cobra. Thanks for posting this video!
Glad I could help! I LIKE these mirrors!
Your "ring tailed cats" are grey foxes. And shooting peoples dogs will get you shot back.

Is there any of the wildlife that you don’t complain about?? Move back to the city!
There's a LOT of wildlife I don't complain about - but when they EAT my animals - I get pissed...
Are you anywhere close to Southern Mid Tennessee? I love hunting coyotes!
Central Texas here... :)
You need some donkeys.
How did it destroy itself? Did it bend the rotor that holds the hammer blades or something like that? That sucks, sorry for the bad luck. It looked like it was really well built. Did you buy another flail mower?
Whatever anybody does, do NOT buy the cheapo EPDM weather stripping. It's far too dense, and the corners are made of solid rubber which cannot compress. You won't be able to close anything after installing, and is a complete waste of money. YES, OEM latex weather stripping is very expensive (~750 for a complete set as of 2024), but it's the only option. Pretty sure you're using EPDM here, because there's no way you need to fight this stuff this hard.
THis stuff worked for me - no issues - I sold the car and bought a Miata with the proceeds and made my wife very happy! Because neither of us could get into or out of the Vette comfortably - the miata is no problem! :)
adorable little cat!
She's a treasure! And now that she has passed the survival test - she got moved into the guest house with the other cats and is now living her best little life as a house cat - driving all the older adult cats nuts! :)
What a cute and squeezable kitty! 💋💋💋💋💋
She is the mistress of Mayhem now that she has moved into the guest house with all the other adult cats... The "kitten" is giving the old cats hell... But they have accepted her... And play with her...
Hello, was wondering if you could answer some questions about a car you owned? I messaged you but not sure if you saw that.

Can’t remember if your spread there is 10 or 20 acres although it looks like enough someone might cut the hay off of it for you for free.
Yeah, but I don't want them taking away my precious wildflower seed! I got this mower to help me spread that seed where it needs to be... This place used to be a hay field and had ZERO wildflowers. After carefully nurturing the wildflower population we now have a CARPET of wildflowers in the spring and one heck of a variety of butterflies, bugs and various pollinators visiting.
@@possumfarms Ah, I get it. That’s pretty smart, I never thought about that. It didn’t occur to me when you were talking about the new flowers with Henry.
Virtually no idea what you did. Awful camera angle
Yeah - this video sucked... I'll admit. Horrible camera angles... I will try to do better!
Great tutorial ,your my kind of mechanic .i have the same car just in red .I was wondering if you could give me the exact part # and brand of gasket to marry up the new exhaust ,Thanks
I did it so long ago - I don't remember. But I got it off of Moss Miata's website.
Thanks for this video it was a lot of help. Know I have to order a feeler gauge
Glad you found it useful!
Hi again, I posted a comment 5 months ago mentioning that the website you bought your exhaust from no longer carried the OBX axel back system. I recently found it listed in eBay and after delivery on Memorial Day Weekend, I installed the unit on my NC. I just drove my car normally for the week to let it sort of break in. Every Saturday morning I drive up and down my local mountain road. Today was no different, this is roughly 30 miles of manual shifting with average engine speeds of 4K. It appears that the muffler gets louder over time. What you hear on a cold start after the initial install is different in a week. I heard from others that it gets louder after a few months. Since you installed this axel back a long time ago, have you experienced this change? When you finally do get your headers and mid pipe I can imagine how much louder it’s going to be. I think for me it’s loud enough. BTW, this Miata is a dude magnet. I’ve had do many young guys talking to me about the Miata and my mods. When my wife drives it she really gets a lot of attention.
I haven't noticed a change... But I haven't paid attention... I have multiple cars - one of which is a cobra replica. Now THAT IS LOUD! Most of the time I drive the miata with the top up because of my wifes hair... :) SO I don't notice how loud it is... MY big thing was - I needed to HEAR the engine for my shift points - I don't stare at the RPM's in the dash. The stock muffler was way too quiet after 40 mph - this thing allows me to hear it when I wind it out... And I can hear it over the wind noise!
Turn clutch disc
Too late - it's been sitting for the past couple of years because I can't lift this monster to reinstall it after a health issue... SO it just sits and is rusting...
Do you still have the OEM Catted headers? or have you changed the headers as well? I have catless headers and im worried this may be too loud when combined with catless headers.
Everything else is BONE STOCK and I haven't changed anything in that regard. The HP gains are minimal at best...
@possumfarms thanks for the reply! I ended up getting this same exhaust, paired with a Goodwin racing 1.8" max power catless header and the Stock midpipe. The drone at 2400-3000 RPM is bad especially on decel, but butt dyno feels like I picked up another 3-5 HP up top in RPMs compared to stock muffler with the header and tune already installed 👍 It's a smidgen too loud for my taste but it was cheap, I'll probably get the Cobalt Muffler in the future to quiet it down some more
Penelope was a good investment. Chupra, not so much! A lot of guys put too big a carburetor on these small block motors.
I agree - bout 600-650 cfm is all this small block needs...
Hello, which size where the bolts?
I found some that "fit" the holes... Sorry I can't be more help there...
@@possumfarms No problem, man. I got it figured at my local hardware store. Some regular bolts did the job!
If it doesn't have the Ford 427 it ain't a Cobra . Putting a Chevy engine in one is Blasphemy 😢
Yeah, whatever... I have parts on the shelf form my racing days and I can tear it down damn near blindfolded... It's a cruiser not a racer. And BTW, how many cobras are in your garage/barn?
