Cobra Kai is an American martial arts comedy-drama streaming television series and a sequel to the Karate Kid's original movie directed by Robert Mark Kamen. The series was created by Josh Heeld, John Harwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, who repeated their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence in the 1984 movie The Karate Kid. Thirty-four years later, the Cobra Kai examines the story of "Miyagi Verse '' from Johnny's point of view, his decision to reopen the Cobra Kai Karate Dojo, and the resurgence of his old competition with Daniel. The Cobra Kai also stars Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Dechenzo, Martin Kove, Vanessa Rubio and Peyton List. This series boasts high ratings on both RUclips and Netflix and has received widespread positive reviews from critics. The third season was also nominated for an "Outstanding Comedy Series" at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards. The first season started on RUclips Red in 2018 and the second season continued in 2019. After the production of the third season was completed, RUclips decided to stop producing the original scripted show and leave the show without a house. Netflix acquired the series in June 2020 and released the third season on January 1, 2021. Netflix expanded the series to the fourth season, released on December 31, 2021. The fourth season of the Cobra Kai was released on Netflix on December 31, 2021 and consists of 10 episodes. This series is a direct sequel to the four original films of The Karate Kid franchise, focusing on the characters of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, more than 30 years after the original film. Following the first two seasons on RUclips, Netflix will release the fifth season. Miguel Diaz is one of the main characters in Cobra Kai. Miguel is the neighbor of former karate champion Johnny Lawrence, who convinces Johnny to train him. Miguel helps Johnny to reopen and establish a student base at Cobra Kai Dojo, though he quickly falls into the Cobra Kai mentality of "no mercy". As his attitude shifts, his relationship with Samantha LaRusso falls apart, leading to a dangerous rivalry of his own with Johnny's estranged son Robby Keene. Their rivalry reaches a boiling point, resulting in Miguel suffering a spinal injury. When he does awaken from his coma, he is ready to rebuild his life in a healthier mindset. He recruits Johnny's help once again, this time, forming a new dojo away from the merciless teachings of John Kreese. Miguel is caught in the middle of his sensei’s long-standing rivalry with Daniel LaRusso, whom Miguel grows closer too, while balancing his relationship with Sam.

This scenario is horrible because Miguel is the MAIN young character of the series..To give him a tragic ending of defeat would be a cruel ending to the series.

Because it honestly is weird having him and Robby being rivals this whole time and Robby is the one who tends to be in shape and ofc showing that on screen, yet Miguel isn’t in general. From what I see in season 5 xolo does look more leaner compared to how he did in season 4 at least.
