  • The first two scenes featuring Lionel Tribey from the west wing. A character who definately should have came back for future episodes.

That final joke "...or there would be very little reason not to put him in prison" is just the kind of wit that makes the West Wing great.

All the early scenes with Ainsley were hilarious. The one where she thinks Leo's closet is a bathroom is classic. And Bartlett's comment just made it incredibly funny. Amazingly enough, the show wasn't a comedy, per se, but had some of the most deadpan funny one liners. The episode where CJ got a "woot cannow" made me almost pass out I laughed so hard.

    • @ari9638

The Babish scene was written for Tribbey. It was supposed to be a running joke that Tribbey was always interrupted before a vacation. But the actor couldn't come back for some reason so they rewrote the scene for Babish. Everytime we see Babish he is also about to go on vacation but is interrupted.

On one hand, you could be right. Long reach, a visible and audible lack of stability in temperament would make Tribby worrisome to the Secret Service
But, don't forget that they will have extensive psychological profiles that would tell them. "Watch our for t the Bat, but he would NEVER swing it in the direction of the president. Tribby rates too high on any Loyalty measured

How is a guy waving about a cricket bat and yelling for blood allowed anywhere near the White House, much less threatening the Chief of Staff in a room adjoining the Oval Office? And then allowing him to barge in? No wonder the Secret Service allowed two assassination attempts and a kidnapping to happen.
