I have taken a City V Elegant CVT recently and in process of getting it handover in a month or so. Just excited to be a part of Honda family. I was using hatchback variants of Hyundai for most of the time, but Honda City new version made me change my mind from that Compact SUV purchase mindset to shift my option onto a sedan class vehicle. Though I was considering other options, this vehicle had me captivated as soon as I laid my eyes on it. Thanks for the detailed review and this really helped me cement my decision.
Spend a little more and get the sunroof model, VX variant. You will enjoy it during family trips to some tourist places . During rain, you can just slide the curtain and people enjoy the rain dropping on the sunroof. It adds the airy feeling. Later on you will not be able to add sunroof at any cost
Better to go without sunroof. It’s a safety hazard. Why need a hole on the roof of the car? Also sunroof decreases headroom, which is already lesser in sedans. Only issue with elegant is that it doesn’t have 6 airbags.

Go for the VX Variant and negotiate with the dealer. Honda is facing tough times are dealers are giving discounts in the range of 50k to 1 lakh on higher trims.

Even had old classics like the Civic in the family, but the current trend of faux-SUVs made me think maybe there is something about them. But seeing this video, it rekindled my love for the Honda City. Very well made video. Honda sure know how to make sedans, there is no doubt about it. Well done.
I remember my self watching a honda civic pull up to our school ground everyday to pick a kid.i used to love the way it looked since then.with all these suv trends going on and people thinking bigger car = more social status.i would pick the city over them.that 7200 rpm 💥
V is good if buyer is on strict budget Vx should not be considered at all as it’s only sunroof majorly. Zx offers better ownership even if it is a stretch.. diamond cut leds … bigger alloys …spoilers. Hexagon grills add to the looks .. leather upholstery feels premium ..wireless charging. Sunroof .. one touch up/ down for all windows … digital and analog combo …And some minute details like the cabin lights switches are much better and premium in zx ..if you keep the car for long term then it is better value then V for the 2.7 lakh stretch.. even when is comes to resale zx carries better value

It's upto you , as you are opting for automatic version, the fun to drive factor will not be there. City's interior is more comfort oriented, but Verna is more feature rich. So if you want best in class infotainment, buy Verna. Verna also coming with wider stock tyre than City , giving you better grip . However, both car has soft suspension, so there can have slight body roll in both. Verna has adjustable headrest in back seat but City doesn't. Top spec version of Verna also have ventilated seats , city doesn't.

Yes, Honda have updated the City and City Hybrid and increased prices of all variants in April 2024. The Honda City petrol variants now come with 6 airbags and seatbelt reminders for all passengers as standard. The base SV, V and VX variants have gained a few good-to-have features too. It's not much. The car is so reliable it does the basics right. My 2011 city still runs like day one...goes for service once a year 6-8k avg maintenance cost. It increases when battery/breakpads etcs are replaced.

Honda city is giving me easily an average of 14.6kmpl in local & 19.1kmpl on highway - tank to tank calculations done! It’s a big advantage ahead of other cars
City is a good car undoubtedly. But , honda need to upgrade it. Frankly speaking, there are good options available, both Verna , Virtus and Slavia are pretty good as well. Honda need to upgrade the stock tyres to at least 16 inch. Infotainment system is not great either. Build quality is good but not as good as skoda or vw either. It's a more comfort oriented car , not as sporty as VW or Skoda.

Not really, City being a Petrol option. You should consider a diesel/hybrid in the market as per your running.
Go for ev or consider cng options in nexon punch grand vitara hyryder..you can get that aftermarket in city as well

claimed and real are different. if you drive at same speed city will give you 4 km/l more then elevate.
