I approve of your choice!. OG manual M2 driver here. I feel after all these years I should know the story behind all the amazing car and plane scenery in the hangar…is that all yours?!. Help me out fellow Motoman people
Merry Christmas MM!🎉. Great choice on the BMW Z4 Manual. I’m afraid to drive one or I’ll end up buying it and have to sell my ND Miata RF that I have in my garage because of you. Looking forward to continuing the journey in 2025. Enjoy your time off, hopefully you’re able to make your annual pilgrimage up to Oregon.
Thank You, Motoman, for years of invaluable friendship, countless discussions and bantering, I truly truly appreciate it. Merry Christmas, M. Hope you have a wonderful time. On a sidenote, does that x6 glow in the dark?
MM, it´s been an amazing 15 years and can´t believe really has been so long, time flies!. About car of the year.... your GT3TP could easily be but i have to say that i went to check the new R5 and it´s just so freaking perfect (except it needs smaller wheels for me). Makes you wanna have one hehe. Once they bring LFP into the mix i think it will be a better proposition. A few less thousand in that price range makes a huge difference plus in France is already the nº1 EV sold over the M3. I can´t justify one but i want one badly. The pick of the Tiguan is a good one but the real treat is the 5N, that is quite special indeed. Not sure how it will hold with time given constant changes in Evs but right now is, with the Taycan, pretty much the best one can buy in the Ev world. It´s been many years of videos and as you already know, i appreciate you and hope to keep this thing going on for many years more to come. I wish you a lot of health, love and a Merry Christmas/New Year over there.
Thank you for the well wishes and may this special time of the season be satisfying to you and your family. To me the IONIQ 5N was revolutionary in its thinking and a ballsy green light from Hyundai and to hit it out of the park on its first go around...
I've been hating renaults both in design and actual cars for 15 years now, even puke a little when I see a Scenic. But that "5"... Loved it when I saw it, even more when I got in one. Good work this.
Thank you for another year of just flat fantastic car content. Your channel has literally become a cog in my weekly battle rhythm. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, safe driving to you! P.S. Can't go wrong picking a BMW for a winner. Between the car itself & the ancillary stuff BMW brings to our table (such has both of their Performance Centers any of us can easily access) they're just a blessing for car guys in the mid 2020s.
The only reason I would moan about the honorary mention going to the Nismo Z, is that I have not seen either a nismo Z or the standard Z on the road. Not at cars and coffee, not at car shows, not just driving around (NE US). I've seen a few pictures of them being on dealer showrooms. My local dealership still has a new unsold 2023 model, and four 2024 models. Only two of them are manual. Keep in mind they started arriving at dealerships at the end of 2022. In that time I've even seen several Ariyas (AND Nissan Murano crosscabriolets). I'm convinced they are not actually trying to sell them. Don't get me wrong, this has nothing to do with how good the car is. But given they're just showroom eye candy that I don't reckon the dealership would want to go through the hassle of test driving. If they couldn't guarantee a sale, it might as well not exist for me. And while that may not matter in order to appreciate rolls-royces or Ferraris that I don't have a chance of buying anyway, the Z is supposed to be in a category of normal people consideration. As an aside for the conversation about ads: the Honda Unstoppable Dreams ad does a good job of playing into heritage of a company that's done well to fed their heritage And grow it for the modern day. Rather than previous Jaguar ads that have expected their heritage to pull more than its own weight while in reality the company does nothing to support it. It's not surprising they felt it wasn't a big deal to do something different
What will happen first? 1- Battery as good as today's Lucid Air, to get 60% lighter and smaller (leaving the battery weight of the M5, give or take) 2- Wireless power transmission as Nikola Tesla was prevented from deploying. Not enough copper and labot, perhaps? With wireless power, no need for an M5 battery even for an intercontinental drive. And motorways could get charge loops to charge on the go. Tech already exists for 20 kW, it works I think. Plenty for a car with Prius battery.
I was sure you are from Germany and you speak Dutch 00. It’s mean bathroom in Germany when you go to public bathroom so how come you like the Jaguar type 00 equal bathroom?
Liking categories for 2024 interesting BMW Z4 won but better then EV. Mercedes SL 680 n retro EV sportscar, Mercedes seems to improving with interior but Cadillac concepts just beautiful, lets see how Cadillac does in Australia.
The only benefit the Z4 has over the Supra is that it is a Convertible. It is difficult to justify the high price tag unless you really really really want a convertible. That being said if price was not part of the equation then I would take the Z4 over the Supra. Something about having the top down really changes the driving experience.
Having driven both the Supra and the Z4 (now I own the Z4 manual), I couldn’t live with the Supra. The cabin in the Supra feels cramped, coming from someone who’s owned several Miata’s. The Z4 has a more comfortable suspension (although if I were to track it, I’d prefer the Supra’s suspension). However, it’s quite surprising how much more expensive the Z4 is for just a few minor differences.
I don’t have an issue with Toyota CVT’s because they are eCVT’s and they are reliable. They are not at all like the Jatco CVT’s in Nissan’s that gave CVT’s a bad name.
I'm taking your earlier advice to "get off my ass and buy one (Z4 manual)" while I can. Given how many other reviewers have been basically giddy over it, it's clear how remarkable it is.
Which of these did you want to talk about? Buick Envision or Lincoln Nautilus? This is the comprehensive list of Chinese cars available in the United States.
My favorite automotive channel.
Nice to see the Z4 win some awards! 😊

Love your videos, thanks for another great year!
I have been watching the show (and will continue to as well!) For the last 13 years. May God bless you and your family!
Thank you for all the Videos in 2024. Merry Christmas and Happy new Year!
Another great MOTOMAN video to close out 2024. As a Z4 owner I was delighted with your decision.
What a great video! Great, bold choice - we've had two Z4s over the years, just a driving experience that it's tough to find these days...
Thanks MotoMan! I’m really looking forward to your 2025 reviews. You are the MAN.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

A question that needs to be addressed in detail. Did Jaguar had issue with the brand or the product?
BMW Z4 for the win. I love it!! I am now on my third one and every generation of Z4 keeps getting better and better.

That BMW SUV in the hangar at the beginning is completely hideous.

I disagree with the VW Tiguan winning.
Right, must have been paid to say that, doubt any other reviewer in the world has said that.

VW!? 😂😂😂 get real!

Look at that thumbnail. Three cars that look basically the same. As an automotive enthusiast, we live in a terrible time.
Are we looking at the same thumbnail?
Are Chinese cars invisible to the US?
