I grew up in Las Vegas and I regularly take visitors and family to Valley of Fire. My family has been in the area for 5 generations and I still have many hundreds of them in the area The stone fort near the visitor center was built by my ancestors. There is so much to do and see there and truly worth your time, the hiking is mostly easy just bring plenty of water, even in the colder months.
I’m so sorry for kitty. They are our heart.

I often play old episodes like this for my blue/gold macaw, Sheba, who loves Tanya. So while I go outside to work, I just roll the videos. Somehow this one came on. So, as I was walking back into the cabin I just happened to catch Tanya doing her little Egyptian dance with her helmet on, and my macaw, Sheba, screamed out “wooohoo!” at the right time and I swear I just busted out laughing! Y’all don’t know how wonderful it is to have someone who amuses my parrot so much. Tanya Your voice is quite a bit like mine without the Texas accent but especially when you sing my parrots think it is so cool that someone else sounds just like me & all the nutty stuff I sing to her, especially sometimes using opera voice as humor. I’ll just cut out an “ahhhh” in high soprano opera voice sometimes to Sheba for the fun of it. She hasn’t had contact with a lot of people in her life and for the past two years she has had zero contact with anyone but me. so it gets her little hamster wheels in her head turning like crazy when she hears another woman sounding like mommy but coming from the TV. She also loves a lot of the music that you use for your videos. And today she was just bobbing and weaving and chortling and then did a high-pitched opera voice after she had done the woo hoo and I was just laughing like crazy. I really needed that because I’m actually going out to bury one of my cats that passed away & have been pretty depressed. But today I’ve had new baby chicks in the incubator peeping at me and Sheba going nuts with you guys on the TV and now my rooster who is staying inside because of bad weather is crowing while you guys are sitting on the couch looking out at the sunset. 😂 how can I stay sad with all of that? I just have to tell you it’s called skeet shooting. The skeet are the clay pigeons (clay disks), that they hurl out with various mechanisms to shoot them while they’re flying out as a practice for going bird hunting. That way when your bird dogs flush out quail or dove or even ducks and geese from the underbrush in the field, you can accurately move your rifle with the trajectory of the flight and pick off a bird with better accuracy. Back in my day, we used to do it with a high powered slingshot that we attached to a limb of an old tree. Lol. These days they have fancy skeet launchers. But anyway… y’all are making me miss Arizona where I used to live for a handful of years when I was in my 20s. Well… Back to work. Maybe one day I will get all these jobs and projects done out here so I can have some time to chat you guys up somehow and get you guys to come visit me out here at Lake Sam Rayburn in East Texas. But you know how life is… Always throwing you a curveball and you just have got to roll with whatever it throws at you. 😂❤ Take it easy!
Camped there years ago i a tiny tent! Love the color of the rock formations in the southwest:) Fun to watch the two of you having so much fun. Those rib eyes look yummy.

Next time you get stuck, if there are any rocks laying around, place a bunch in the tracks. It's helps give the tires traction.

You can camp right outside of the park boundaries for free on BLM land and then drive right into the park and explore. That's what I did, it was great.

What makes me want to quit full time are the constant repairs. It's not that mine is a lemon. It's true with a lot of full timers I've met over the past three years having all name brands including Airstreams which are supposed to be the most reliable. When I've taken mine in I've been told it may be weeks before they can get around to fixing it. Telling them the RV was my full time home didn't matter. Luckily I've managed to limp home to my son's house to stay until the repairs have been made. The costs are outrageous as their hourly rate is about one hundred and fifty dollars an hour. I've managed to fix a lot on my own but the AC and heater are out of my league. If anyone brags their name brand is great then it's just a matter of time. I believe RVs aren't made for full time. A few times RVing during the summer close to home should be OK.
