Perhaps my favorite piece by Chick. Very difficult to listen to at this moment. Return to Forever, dear Chick. You are in our hearts forever.

(A beautifully-shot video, and the decision to fade before the applause was a wise one: Any reaction by mere humans to this holy thing would have trivialized it.)
Musique Noire at its most Meditative.
As brilliant a player as Chick Corea has always been (and you get to see that here), I’ve admired him equally as much as a composer, and this piece, along with “Spain,” are the two of his many great and fascinating works that most people are likely to know.
This beautiful performance has him sharing a brain with the virtuosic Gary Burton (who is usually a little too cerebral for my taste, but never when he’s with Chick), and the two of them play with that magic desire to create something that’s bigger than the two of them…
    …and they do.
Burton actually turns his vibes into a rhythm instrument during Chick’s solo; Chick reaches into his piano to mute the strings for a percussive effect during Burton’s.
John Lewis and Milt Jackson, the most noted keys/vibes duo in Jazz History, could, at their best, only come close to this.
Gabriel Faure, Maurice Ravel, and George Gershwin, all geniuses at harmony themselves, would drool over this if they could hear it.
    Chick Corea is deceased…
    Gary Burton is in retirement...
    TREASURE THIS.

My ECM album is in the great record collection in the sky...
    AND...
I cannot find "What Game Shall We Play Today" from it on RUclips
    Is there some issue there?
