Just a quick update: The law regarding foreign ownership of businesses in the Philippines has changed. Foreigners can now own 100% of their businesses in the Philippines, a change enacted by President Duterte's Executive Order in 2013 before he left office. Previously, the ownership structure required 40% foreign ownership and 60% Filipino ownership. BTW: That Professor who said to the lady to make adjustments by learning the language might be right? However, professors must adjust themselves if foreign students attend their classes. Foreign Language is not as easy to learn as he thinks. I used to speak German & could get by. It was because I was an Exchange Student in Germany for 1 Year but it was a struggle for me to learn that language. I also studied Japanese. The hardest part was learning to write the Chinese Characters which consist of more than 2000 Characters to memorize. The Japanese Characters were not bad to memorize. Philippines is really a good option for some African countries to go to for higher education. If you have problems with people speaking English properly, come to the Visayas, incl. Mindanao. We have good universities here too, and we are cheaper than Manila as well.
