One of the best games ive bought this year. Pretty much everyone I've played it with enjoys the game. I'm glad you made a video for this and i hope more people play this game.
Hah, we played this on Saturday with 6 hunted. A friend picked it up at UK Games Expo. Was fun but it took us a while to get into the rhythm. Your video would have helped. :)
Just picked this up, as I found out about it after asking on a FB group about games where it is multiple hidden players and one unhidden, as opposed to the usual hidden traitor type games. Really looking forward to trying it. Looks fairly straightforward.
Watch It Played I usually play as the creature. The game is quite fair on chances: I win more often on my friends because I know better the game. This is fair. To me, at least. They will learn from mistakes.
Thanks, two more quick questions, does the Artemia token become active on the A's of the rescue track and/or does it corelate to a specific location at that point, the rules loosely imply something like this. Also do the survivors get a new rescue card every round if they used their one?
Hey Dragon, I lent this game out to a friend recently, so I don't have easy access to the book to check for you - for your first question, is this what you're asking about: ruclips.net/video/TJzUjoZRbzw/видео.htmlm50s I don't recall what I said in the video, but if I don't say that you automatically get to draw a new rescue card every round, then you don't.
Hi Smith, a quick question. If a hunted only has 1 will counter left, played "the lair" and get caught by the creature token. Does he/she lose only 1 will counter? As it is said "lose 1 extra will if caught". Thanks.
It's been long enough since I shot this, that I'm not quite sure I know the answer right off, but I think it might be in this thread. Hope this helps: boardgamegeek.com/thread/1691185/few-questions-artifact-vs-clone-losing-more-will-y
I practically made watching your tutorial on "Mech vs Minions" into a movie night!! It was great. Now I just have to watch it 50 more times to know what the heck I'm doing. Seriously though...thank you for your efforts. It makes a huge impact on novice gamers like myself. Keep up the great work and attitude!
Hey Rodney Would you be open to making like a top 10 list for board games? Like top 10 co-op, or top 10 with more than 5 players, etc. I was also wondering if you have any recommendation where a game has a defector. Something along the lines of dead of winter/betrayal at house on the hill. Thanks.
Seeing the three player set up makes me wonder. Have Pep and Luke ever appeared in a playthrough together? I can't recall one and I have to wonder why it hasn't happened if it hasn't. I think it could be hilarious.
I was going to say that Pep is actually Luke from the future, and if they appeared in a play-through together it would mess up the time-space continuum. But...the Gravwell video ruined that dream. ;)
Looks like a pretty fun game. I haven't played a good tabletop in a while so something like this might be right up my alley. Will you have this at Hal-Con in September? I see on the website that you're on the guest list.
Completely understood :) I look forward to every video you post... only 4 months ago, I owned Catan as one of my first board games... now I own 62 of them... I blame you! But its a good thing I love games :)
That bit about only one assimilation getting placed no matter how many players are brought to zero will seems like it could be metagamed a bit. If more than one dude is low, couldn't they go to the same place over and over as long as they shared cards, audibly declaring it so the creature either refreshes them or does something other than wound them?
You really don't want the assimilation token to move at all, if you can help it - and if you are going to the same places (even if it's to try to get cards back), you are giving up turns to do something more useful - that said, certainly worth giving it a shot and seeing how it goes!
Kinda makes grabbing one of the of #9 The Source a piece a bit of a strong play. If you and your partner each have one you can either defend yourselves when you both get low, or risk a sort of blitz strategy where you Resist heavily to regain critical cards and then both drop The Source. Either you heal from 1 to 2, or the alien gets one point of progress and you both effectively heal back to full. Either way you got a bunch of cards back. Though I imagine that would be less strong if the alien can both attack and disable a card's effect on the same space, but then he's burned through a card I guess?
@@WatchItPlayed yeah I have watched a lot of your videos, and y’all are the reason I got a lot of my board games, from all the videos I have seen of different board games I don’t know what it is if it’s like a power but I can combine things from other board games and in almost a second I can come up with a full rule set and if I think more about it I can add more features, my board games idea takes a lot from fallout and similar terms with cards, shout out “Fantasy Flight Games”! And thank y’all for saving me from reading entire novels of rule books!
This game is so underrated! Whenever we have more than 4 at a meetup, I like to play this once before breaking into smaller groups.
So glad to hear you've been enjoying this one Jeff!
Thanks Rodney, your video is super clear and concise. It made the rules a breeze to understand. We had a great night, thanks!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm glad you were not alone when learning the game!

How to play Not Alone. "Get friends" And thanks for watching!
Just scrolling down to see if there's this comment..:)

Sorry for my timing :)

I hope you have a fun time playing!
Bought it and played today. Great fun! Kids love it.
So glad to hear it!

Yea cool game
Not bad seeing that the kids were able to understand it despite being pretty complicated.

Thats what I needed thanks!
Btw do you remember all the rules to this games or do they blur together?
It depends on the games, but many of the individual rules blur together, and then I have to look up the rules.
Thanks, a great and helpful video! I really appreciate how clear and concise you are.
Thanks Steve!
Awesome explanation. Thanks!!
Glad you liked it!
I did catch the Designer Variant, but thanks for the heads up & thorough & clear video.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
i would love to see you play these game before buying it :D
We'll see!

Should've known you would have the reveiw for this game. Great job again and again!!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

Art looks awesome
Thank you so much for the really nice explaination :)
You’re very welcome, glad you enjoyed!
Havent played yet, but if the creature captures more than 1 at one time, does the token move for EACH or just once?
You'll find that covered here: ruclips.net/video/TJzUjoZRbzw/видео.htmlm9s
What is the effect of the yellow counter ? Please tell me
Hi there - this is explained in the video.
Great choice, Rodney!!
Glad you liked it!
Hey Rodney
Would you be open to making like a top 10 list for board games? Like top 10 co-op, or top 10 with more than 5 players, etc. I was also wondering if you have any recommendation where a game has a defector. Something along the lines of dead of winter/betrayal at house on the hill. Thanks.
Hey Gdon, thanks for the interest. I talk a little about my thoughts on top 10s here: ruclips.net/video/p0Lv8LHadMc/видео.html&t=10m55s

Check our Gravwell play through, you'll see them together there.
I was going to say that Pep is actually Luke from the future, and if they appeared in a play-through together it would mess up the time-space continuum. But...the Gravwell video ruined that dream. ;)
so can you play this alone?
Nope, you need at least 2 players.
haha, I wanted to write the same dumb joke... I was too slow! :D
If you buy Alone and put them together, do they both annichilite?
He meant it is NOT alone.
Has anyone played the expansion of this game? I'd love to know if it's any good because I'm thinking of buying it. Thanks!
Did you end up getting a chance to try it?
Thanks
You're welcome!
How to collect the 6-10 card to the hand??
This is explained here: ruclips.net/video/TJzUjoZRbzw/видео.htmlm34s

I could try to remember to bring it. Drop me a note (perhaps on Twitter) closer to the event, and I'll pack it!
+Watch It Played Will do! No pressure. I know it'll be a busy time for you. Hal-Con is such a great environment to be in.
Great video as always! Can you please do a rules video for "The Grand Austria Hotel" ?
Hey, thanks for the interest. I avoid pre-announcing games we are going to cover in case my schedule changes (I don't like to disappoint).
Completely understood :) I look forward to every video you post... only 4 months ago, I owned Catan as one of my first board games... now I own 62 of them... I blame you! But its a good thing I love games :)
Welcome to the hobby!!

The alien would get 2 points of progress though; 1 for catching you and 1 for depleting. And the alien's track looks pretty short.
Playing Not Alone seems easy. Just play with friends.
I didn't predict a pandemic would make me eat those words.
So this is an alien game where you have to survive?
Unless you're the alien!
I think the alien would like to survive as well...

my god, tats fast upload after live show XDD
It was uploading before the show, I just had to add thumbnails and a description :)
nice tutorial as always XDD keep up the good work ^^
seems like the plot for the movie alien.
Some similarities, to be sure :)
If anybody steals my idea for a subnautica board game then they will pay miserably
I already know how I’m doing it too, expect it in about 20 something years (just a teen)
You can do it!
