You took a kit from a manufacturer (that apparently doesn't have a quality control inspector) and made it into quite the good looking model. What a mess this kit looked to be. Destroyed decal, plenty of flash, injector pin marks, lousy clear parts, major gaps between the wings and the fuselage but what about the fit of the other parts? Any issues?
I don't know if this company puts out kits in the quality I saw in your review, but if their other kits are like what I saw then I definitely will not but them. Despite what you had to work with, about how long did it take from start to finish to complete the kit itself?
Again you made this kit into a beauty. Great job!!!
Well, I knew what I was doing. This wasn't my first old model kit. I don't particularly like this kind of "vintage" but there was no real choice. I wish some modern model manufacturer will make a good model kit of this plane that doesn't cost an arm and leg ;)
It took me 29 evenings to build this aircraft - about 2,5 months.
Good job. In despite the poor quality kit very good work and in addition for un jet shunned in model making.
Yeah, it's not very popular. That's the reason I had to make such a bad kit.

Another outstanding build, thank you for sharing! Thank you also for showing the use of tweezers to bend PE, very clever! That is the flattest finish I think I've seen, what are you using for a matte varnish?

Jej, świetny model i w sumie niezły zestaw! ;) Muszę się przyjrzeć bliżej Bilkowi... ;) Dobry wybór washy, i mam jeszcze takie pytanie - co to jest ta pancerna szpachla? Jakaś wzmocniona, zatrzymuje kule albo chociaż te śruciny, czy jak? :D Powodzenia dalej! ;)
Bilekowi przyglądaj się raczej z bezpiecznej odległości ;) A szpachla tak jak widać na obrazku - akrylowa, niby zmywalna ale nie do końca taka jak ta od Wamodu. Dobrze mieć oba rodzaje ;)

Awesome build my friend, just shows what you can do with a couple of upgraded parts to an old but still very good kit. I think Italeri re-boxed this. The Pantera/Mistercraft/ZTS/Griffon Su-17/22 i believe is the better of the two though.
I might be wrong but I was thinking that Pantera/Mistercraft etc was repacking the Italeri one. It doesn't matter, both sets are old and rubbish ;)
Incredible, I still do not understand how you make the paint last so long without drying on the tip of the airbrush and how fine the lines come out ...

The key is to dilute the paint handsomely.
As for the airbrush, I showed it in this movie (link below)- I use stock settings - nozzle 0,3 mm I guess.

Can you please tell me the type of gloss and Matt varnish you use? I've tried your methods with the ones I've got and the white spirits bubbles and warps the paint and varnish I use. Really enjoy your work and am trying to emulate you. I've gotten much better since I've subscribed.
If the white spirit warps the paint it means you haven't used an acrylic varnish before cleaning. When I want to make the surface glossy for decals and wash I use Tamiya X-22 Clear (or another ACRYLIC gloss varnish - it's very important) then when you clean the ENAMEL wash (like for example Tamiyas I've used in this movie) everything's safe. White Spirit doesn't dissolve ACRYLIC varnishes (so use them as protection) but dissolves ENAMEL or OIL products (so use those kinds of wash, to dissolve the excess easily with white spirit).
The matt varnish I've used in this movie is Mr. Color C182 Flat Clear - that's the enamel product but it doesn't matter since that's the last layer on the model ;)

A co do modelu, to to nie jest ten sam co z Mistercraft. Ja (jak widać) wybrałem produkt firmy Bilek. No ale nie oszukujmy się, oba zestawy są bardzo stare i słabej jakości. Trzeba się sporo napracować i wydać trochę kasy na dodatki, żeby to jakoś wyglądało (albo robić samemu od podstaw).

Those are lead pellets - used with the airgun. You can buy them online.
Hej. Jestem początkującym modelarzem. Chciałem zapytać jak zrobić domowy wash czyli podkreślacz linii blachy? Muszę rozrobić farbę z wodą, to wiem ale w jakich proporcjach? Pozdrawiam
Nie z wodą. Na początek może lepiej kup jakiś gotowy wash. Jest duży wybór w sklepach modelarskich.

Wash nakładamy po nałożeniu kalkomanii i zabezpieczeniu ich lakierem bezbarwnym (błyszczącym). Pamiętaj też, żeby użyć lakieru bezbarwnego akrylowego, gdy używasz wash emaliowy lub olejny. No i do wytarcia będzie potrzebny rozcieńczalnik który rozcieńcza washa a nie rozcieńcza akrylu (żeby nie zniszczył wszystkiego co pod lakierem bezbarwnym).
Jak próbujesz pierwszy raz to proponuję też wszystko wypróbować na jakichś zbędnych kawałkach plastiku, żeby nie zniszczyć modelu.

Kupilem sobie su22 1/72 od kovozavody i nie wiem czy samolot sam bedzie stał prosto bez przechylania sie do tylu, gdzie moge kupic taki śrut albo cos podobnego
Ołów jest ciężkim metalem, ale zwykłe nakrętki z Castoramy też można używać jako odważnik. Wklej cokolwiek ciężkiego jak najbardziej z przodu modelu i będzie dobrze. Zwykle wystarcza 20-50 gramów. Czasami producent podaje ile należy użyć, ale najczęściej nie. Lepiej jednak dociążyć przód w modelach samolotów z tego typu podwoziem niż później mieć problem ;)
No ale jeśli się uparłeś na śrut, to można go kupić w sklepach z militariami, bo to amunicja do wiatrówek.
Mam takiego z ZTS Plasrtyk ale mój to katastrofa,kupiłem tylko do nauki malowania może czegoś się na nim nauczę
No na pewno ;) Za każdym razem jak coś robisz to się uczysz :)

It was Su-17 only in the Soviet Union and ex-soviet countries. Everywhere else it was Su-22 or Su-20...
Су-17 был только в Советском Союзе и странах бывшего СССР. Везде были Су-22 или Су-20...

@@Big-Modeller fajna suczka wyszła, swoją drogą ciekawe czy często latały w takiej konfiguracji uzbrojenia. Nie liczne jeszcze latają u nas w Świdwinie.

A czy latały to nie wiem. Nie znalazłem dużo zdjęć z podwieszonymi bombami, ale taki układ chyba gdzieś widziałem.
@@Big-Modeller najczęściej zasobniki rakiet nie kierowanych + bomby, na poligon, na same loty tylko zbiorniki paliwa.
Już pewnie nawet nie ma nic bardziej złożonego od zwykłej bomby do tego samolotu. Niestety czas już przyszedł na nie.
