I was nervous about the $40 price tag since FromSoft DLCs are normally ~$20, but when Miyazaki stated that the DLC area was larger than the Limgrave continent AND had more content, I was sold.
Miyazaki always ondersells his works, because he said that Elden ring would have been only 30 hours of gameplay but it was 100 hours for me honestly and I didn't explored mountaintops of giant fully too and ended the game with 144 lvl character.

For my newest re-run of the game in prep for SOTE I beat the game at around 32 hours, and that was collecting my weapons and gear, doing a few side quests, and going straight from Limgrave to Ashen Capital. After this playthrough I think Miyazaki was coming from the perspective of someone who knew exactly where everything they want to do or get is.

Vast empty nothingness, the base game has something going on everywhere and almost no matter what direction you go you find something to do. Not the case with this. Rushed effort feels like a flight simulator how empty it is. The bosses are mostly reused as well, the maybe 5 unique ones are move sets we've basically already seen, it was more of the same at best. 40 dollars for roughly 10-20 hours of actual content. Definitely not what I waited 2 years for, fromsoft has never done me wrong till now.

I have met quite a few nice people from the community myself like years ago I accidentally used the soul of Sif in Dark souls 1 and made a post asking someone for another to of course make the boss weapon and they were nice enough to drop it and actually not kill me since I summoned him as an invader. Only people I would say is remotely toxic in the community are the ones that constantly slander Dark souls 2 but even then it can be ignored and I still love Dark souls 2 but only the base game, hate the dlc personally but it's just my opinion, not bad by any means just wasn't my thing and I went through each one twice and didn't like them. I did enjoy the dlc for Dark souls 1 however, both of them to be exact.

He has two point´s where i think he has kinda a point, i overall think that he is kinda stupid and i sadly don´t think it´s satire but don´t preorder things is always a good stand and at least for me, i hyping Shadow of the Erdtree way to much. I already did this with Elden Ring but i the end the hype i build myself wasn´t even close to the fun i have with the game but i guess that makes at least a way to disapointment.
