Love to see the big chief buying the braves a coffee at the end of a miserable day, and waiting till last to be served is wonderfully yet understatedly humble. Great morale booster and a sign of appreciation. As bosses go you are an inspiration and as crews go your guys are premier league. Huge regards from Scotland.
I'm a native Floridian. I like sand, sun, swamps, and beaches. And I do like snow, _in pictures and videos_ - lol. I'm not an arborist. In fact, I've never _fell_ a tree in my life, although I've *_cut_* many down, in my time - lol. RUclips recommended one of your videos a month or two ago, and since then, I've watched many of them. I'm not sure why these interests me so much. I know part of it is the demeanor of everyone, especially when problems arise. Where I grew up here in Florida, people used to be more relaxed. We had farms, swamps, fishermen, and orange groves. It was country. Now it's a city. Florida is becoming one big angry city where 90% of the people are angry city folk, in a hurry to get somewhere. So, in a strange sense, I find these videos relaxing. And I also learned something. As I said, I had always *_cut thees down._* I would cut a notch on one side, and then cut down at an angle from the opposite side. I wasn't sure why you cut straight across. I guess _that_ could be one video that I've yet to see. But I did begin looking into it, and I found out how lucky I've been. So, thank you for uploading great videos, that caught my attention enough, that I finally learned the danger which I had been putting my self in.
Miami started sucking ass after the Mariel Boatlift. Now it's crowded an people don't speak English. Moved out in 2000. Broward county few miles from Everglades 😎🙌
@@garlandremingtoniii1338 I am in Pasco County, just north of Tampa. I'm always a little (respectfully) jealous of people with a distinct heritage. My heritage is from all over the South, and The Mid-West, and then back further, they were from all over Europe.
I have found keeping morale high with the crew is the best way to get through tough jobs or bad weather. It’s apparent you take care of your guys because they all seem proud to wear your name on their shirts. Crappy weather separates the men from the boys.
I don’t think you realize the millions of people in America that work outside in the weather of all types we are nothing special simply doing our jobs I feel for youThat you think you are something special I hate to burst that bubble but considering your bubble burst. The real men Don’t talk about it and don’t emphasize the fact it’s just another job and we do it
@@ryanbennett1402 i dont think you realize there are 10's of millions of people that call in simply when it rains or snows. You sound like you feel underappreciated
Jake Highland You look like a bitch little princess where exactly did you get that statistic from tens of millions of people call out when it rains or snows. Sounds like you’re one of those pussies that call him when it rains. I am a business owner and actually have employees and have worked out in below zero 20 and 30 below zero actually when I was 16 I didn’t need a pat on the back then and I don’t need a pat on the back now if you want money you work that’s all there is to it.
Love the bar. When seeing the deck tree first shots, my builder's brain went straight to repairing the hole - how many boards, which boards to remove and cut back to seamlessly repair it, adding the joists. The bartop solution was elegant. "Elegant" in a 3 lumps of wood kinda way.
your crane operator is so smooth with that machine. At time of cutting through the trunk they barely move a fraction of an inch, that's how well he got the boom placed. Very impressive. And building that table for the homeowner is going the extra mile. That guy sure was happy about it.
I've watched a number of your videos now and I'm impressed with your operation. Nice, well maintained equipment, appropriate for the tasks. A great deal of attention paid, not only to safety, but to not wrecking the customers property. Everyone on the crew seems to work well together. All of the picks and falls are well thought out. Good work fellas.
I love watching your older videos too. Dutch Brothers at the end is the best end of the cold work day. I haven’t had a Kicker since the last time I was in Grants Pass. I’m looking forward to the completion of the DB in Hixson, TN where I live now. Thank you for all you do.
I appreciate your videos so much. Hope you and your crew had a great thanksgiving. You strike me of the type of men that are very thankful of the things you are blessed with. God bless.
Really appreciate your videos. Im always telling guys I come across out the field to go watch August Hunicke on RUclips. Your precision and 100% control of your cuts is the biggest thing I tell them to pay attention too.
Love yr videos ,and the camaraderie between you and yr workers, very Australian attitude !. Be nice to see behind the scenes preparations and service / cleaning of saws and equipment. Also yr commentaries and philosophies are such a change from the usual brash Yankee voice overs, you actually make sense. Keep the faith !!!
These are my favorite days. The “worst” days are the best days. So photogenic to! I remember hooking onto a crane ball last winter at -8 degrees. After the first few minutes i forgot about the cold and realized... I was made for this!
The idea to use the stumps as legs for the bar was genius. I imagine that crane truck wouldn’t have much trouble in the snow with all that weight on it. Awesome video
back in the 90s and a time when i was 15.my boss told me that if i gave him $100 he would teach me the secret to success.i worked a solid week to make that.after paying him he smiled.he then put his coffee down and gently said lesson 1 show up and lesson 2 build success on your own rather than working hard to pay some one for a shortcut . so i learned showing up is only half the battle but also the most important thing in life.
The actual lesson behind that is that ripping people off is the way to success. He suckered $100 out of you in exchange for a bogus statement. That's why he is successful and you aren't, relatively speaking. I hope you're doing okay.
I really didn't want to go up the big silver maple this morning, over the road, cold and windy, and still bloated from Thanksgiving dinner, but I am glad I "showed up".
same here Adam....unfortunately we had 60mph winds here in Ohio.....I was supposed to be going to an local arborist supply store for some black Friday gear instead I was pulling oak trees of of condos all day🤷♂️ stay safe treeple 👊
Wednesday I was just starting up a Silver Maple and decided it was too windy. I checked the forecast, double digit winds until sundown! So I went up, and the winds were calm from about noon until I finished.
The way you guys set your pick points so that everything balances out is amazing. How about a video talking about the mental process used? Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.
Well done to you and your crew August. That tractor on the front lawn was really neat, I like it. And awesome job on the bar. That was pretty dang level and solid. 😎👊❤️🌲 Keep yourselves safe! Randy
How too bad. Watched you all spring & summer and up till now and know what, "winter sucks". At least I do not like it. Hate to see things get slippery for you & crew as well. Nice work as you always provide us. Thank you and please, stay safe! Sonny (CT)
That was some nice custom bar work you did there. Nice footage leaving the job , you have some of the most beautiful country iv'e ever seen. I'm use to rural Ohio flat wide open farmground you can see for mile's , spotted with wood's here and there.
The leaves of that tree are a potent antidote to poison oak...crushed in water than bathe the skin in it - or put poultice on lesions of poison oak...Great work ethic...you guys make suffering look effortless!
I've been watching tree related videos for, perhaps, 2 years. Personally, I've looked at more trees in the last 2 years than the the previous 45 years.
What's up August! You guys are an inspiration to the trade. Thank you for sharing the content you do so generously! That being said, with all your hard-earned knowledge in the tree game, I'd really appreciate your opinion. If you could do it all over, for your first chipper, would you buy a new or used; why or why not? Thank you August and gang for keeping us entertained and stay safe 🤙🏻
Chippers for me, new. I don’t even want to let them get old actually. They have a hard life therefor I’d rather have a regular payment than a greater downtime risk and poorer performance, by using old chippers.
August, It's worth mentioning I believe it was a GREAT CHOICE to *NOT put music behind this video* - It has a cool vibe just being able to hear the machines, the hum of everything, the snow falling, and water dripping, while watching the work being completed. _Well done._
August Hunicke no doubt man! I was really surprised how long the ending sequence was on this video too; the twists and turns in the road kept going, and going.... And going... lol Great video though. Really interesting with that type of tree/wood too, and then making a makeshift table to boot. Super creative 👍
Dude you need a sawmill with all the wood you accumulate. I was workin in the snow all day yesterday, and about to today. Ran a saw in a living room yesterday.......huge top went through roof. Keep up the great work August
That's some unique looking timber. I recently found the channel, and really enjoy your content. You guys handle some gnarly situations with ease. Most interesting one I faced had us removing two Norway Maples in a backyard of a row house. The only way to the front with the debris, which of course had to be taken away, was in the back door, through the kitchen and living room, and back out the front door to the street.
"Let's go to work." Words that make the world a better place. Thanks Hunicke and crew!

When the homeowner gave August that shoulder slap, he was just so honestly happy I had to smile. Good work as always.
Ya that was cool
What a wonderful way to end a video! The client showing gratitude, "Thank you very much!" and "I'll go write you a check." Magic words these are!

Again August thanks for taking the time to make videos. They’re awesome and educational. The professionalism is A+. Definitely a role model crew.

well done... I like that table top...stay safe stay warm
Tis the season for a snowy video.
Well done and thank you.
Nice looking bar.
Happy to see not all the wood was chipped. Awesome to see the bar made! Fabulous
The idea to use the stumps as legs for the bar was genius. I imagine that crane truck wouldn’t have much trouble in the snow with all that weight on it. Awesome video
Always a thumbs up video August, thank you ! That bar table looks great.
What a beautiful state, and all four seasons included! 🤗
You guys are just too calm. Lol. Thanks for the work y'all put in. Thanks for sharing August.
Excellent finish with the table August! Gr8 vid too! You've got a stellar crew!
Love that, nice going on the BAR, it is great when you do things like that for people.

Of your "trees in decks" videos I'll call this my favorite as you milled a slab right on site and made a great table "in" the deck! Great job guys!!
Wow!! A challenging job in good weather. You guys are aces doing that in this weather. Stay safe.
You and your crew have too much fun doing hard work. I like the fun atmosphere that radiates. kids having fun the snow - yahoo
