Your boy is already on his way to being a man! Awesome to see him by your side. Who needs video game nonsense when your dad has a crane! He seems like a happy lil feller, big smiles always. Those kiddos sure do grow up fast.
Yep! Wish I woulda been into tree work at this age! I watched my step dad and brother do many many jobs before I gave a damn about it. In fact I hated doing tree work. Now it’s in my blood! I love doing tree work. Hope to be in this industry for the remainder of my life!
I like the descriptive word "Challenging". It implies that there's obstacles, but they can be overcome. I believe this is exactly what you and your crew do. You deal with the challenges head on with expertise. Everyone is happy with a professionally done job by Team Hunicke. Adam had me busting up at his rebirth at 9:10 lol
I really like your way of filming - countless perspectives make every of your videos unique and even more interesting. Obviously you put a lot of work in that (besides editing)! Thanks and Cheers from Germany!
The dividend of hard work is the payment of a smarter way to get harder work done. A-team you all have earned it with hard work. Love your smart way of working.
As a kid, I too used to go to work with my dad when I could (he was a mechanic and owned his own shop). I didn't realize how cool of an experience that was until I grew up and now have a son to guide into manhood. Keep up the good work August and bring the little guy with you as much as you he can - it's more important than he'll ever realize. Thanks for another cool video - the crane makes light work of things.
I absolutely love that you take your son to work with you!! If more dads spent time like this with their boys, as a country we’d be in a much better place! #nosubstituteforgooddads Rock on brother hope you kill it in 2019. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Very good efficient job. The customer must have discussed with you the importance of preserving the integrity of the drive, yard etc... so..... when one of the guys placed the tip of the saw on the deck a few times I had to wince a little bit. I know, it’s a little thing. Being a manufacturer of specialty wood products, wood flooring and architectural moulding, I realize what a sharp metal object can do to wood. I’m done with my ‘particularness’. 😏 Anyway, you guys do excellent work.
It is such a pleasure to see your business grow first-hand via RUclips. I especially enjoy seeing how Damien, Adam and the gang have taken the reins and embraced the change of pace. You guys make it look fun, which has always been the mark of good tree men.
Another job well done. Good work Damien on flagging in the blind. You guys have always communicated well. When I worked construction as a flagger (Rigger). If the operators was in the blind. They always preferred to know if their cable speeds and boom speeds was ok. Or if they needed to give more or less. Also distances away from other objects. But they were all different. Some wanted you to paint a vivid picture of the surroundings. Others just wanted you to give them commands. To each his own.
Man, your boy looks so freaking stoked to be hanging out with you and the guys on the job. His big smile made me smile :-) And yeah, it's not difficult when it's WHAT YOU DO. It's just what you do. I sure do hope someday, somehow, I have an excuse to justify a truck that freaking big and cool for my business :-) hehehehehe!
Unless it a squad automatic weapon? Lol ty sir for for ur duty and keeping America safe and free, unlike some of these idiots we have in our congress....
I’m willing to bet that first piece you picked would’ve taken an hour and a half to get out. Cool watching that for log slip right out of the deck. Seeing your boy there watching dad work and learning is probably my favorite part. 👍 Hope to see him follow in your footsteps. Another great one August! Thank you 🌲🌳🏗
Another good crane vid it definitely saves alot of sore backs iam dieing to see a good old rigging show. Keep it up August and good luck to u and your men of the crew and your little boy. He looked excited
Hell ya augest! Good to see u got ur boy out their. I loved going to work with my dad, he was my hero. Some of my fondest memories as a kid growing up. Most the rest of my childhood I'd much rather forget....it wasn't pretty...
A kid watching men being conscientious and careful while working hard and cooperating w/ one another. Can you say role model? That boy has a real head start in life. In an ideal world every boy would.
Wonderful video. It's great to see the rapport and trust you share with your guys. It is an inspiration to everyone who aspires to be part of a team or to employ folk to create a team. Huge regards from Scotland.
Thumbs up via alpha numerics LoL! I love watching you and the boys work... And I do the same every day! Put a smile on it and let it fly. Keep it up August!
Very interesting to see how you make the cuts when using the crane to pick out the tops. Very clever to use the notch to steady everything until you are ready to pick.
Even with the limited camera angles ( no drone ) bad lighting due to weather still an awesome video and Adam poking his head out of the deck and the chainsaw was absolutely hilarious. Loved it !!
Nice, that's definatly the sweetest way to remove a tree from a deck MB. Although I couldn't help but imagine playing whack a mole when the head poked out the hole.. 🤔😁😂👍👍🇦🇺
Work Smarter... Not Harder!!!! An old German Guy told me that over fourty years ago. If its has to get done, i guess in the rain?? But that same old German guys said!!NO ONE is Gonna pay you If your Sick from working in the RAIN!!! If you miss three days work for one day in the rain, WAS it worth IT!!!!Tree work is one of the most dangerous work there is. Chainsaws . Power lines , Heights . Family First, your Heath Second I guess!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!! Your gonna need it one DAY!!!!!!!! OLD AND SMART YOUNG AND NOT SO SMART!!!! Another great Video!!!!!
@@AugustHunicke Rochester NY is no Heaven . The great lakes are hell. Wait one minute and it will change! Same as yours maybe worse. I let God answers that. God bless your family!!!!
Thanks, there’s a time to go to battle and a time to retreat. Choose your slogan day by day, either, “Fortune favors the brave.” OR “Live to fight another day.” There was no bad weather in this video though.
The poping out of the deck hole was hilarious ,,😆 . I totally get you on when the customer start a asking questions " is this going to be difficult " or "is this a big job " and my favorite " have you done this before " I like to answer " no it's my first time lol 😆😂
Awesome job. All of you are skilled and competent. Great team work and communication. Definitely the kind of crew I aspire to run. Whether I get there, who knows. Keep up the videos.

Last thing I want when my house is at stake is a tree guy operating at the edge of his ability. When I ask if this job is going to be hard, I want him to say "No, we did four jobs harder than this before breakfast just to warm up for the work day, the same way you turn on your coffee pot."
great video...I'm looking forward to the days when I can work smarter...I think a this point people only want me because I work harder ..over the years I've watched you progress with knowledge and experience and now with the equipment to put together the total package...inspirational 👍👍👍👊
What's with the two thumbs down let me guess the two thumbs down people think they could have done it better .... not. Another great video August. I look at this way either crane set up time or extra rigging time.
Awesome August . Awegust ;-) You guys could perhaps get some hard hat neck shades for your helmets , so that water doesn't run down your necks when it's raining ? Good for blazing hot sun too . Another job done well :-)
I won't deny the great experience you receive from removing a tree someone built a porch/deck around, BUT fortunately for me I live in New Hampshire and we don't build porches around tree's. Contractors seem too have the tree removed prior to building. Makes for a great video though,,
Yes Sir........that's what I'm talking about! When your talking productive time on a job there ain't no comparison. Crane in........crane out. Hummmmm, wet deck, rigging just about all wood down, tree debris from back to front! "I wanna crane"!!!!!! : )
How did you figure the radius of the 2 picks prior to setting up? what ever I like your work, I sold a lot of cranes before retiring. Love to see a good pick!!
That sticker on your son's mesh is pretty cool. I've never seen that before. It may not be best for visibility, but his young eyes probably don't care.

100 percent worth the set up time. Good job pretty funny when Adam pocked his head through the deck hole.

the crane op. did a great job, but the ground crew was awesome. A good job will turn into a great job with the right ground crew. Great job guys.

The right gear and a good workforce. It must be very satisfying, it certainly was to watch. Stay safe. All the best.

It’s painted mesh so it’s got same diameter holes in the mesh to look through everywhere. It’s indiscernible from behind the screen.

Look at that flagrant use of plywood sheets. How times have changed.
Sneaking up on the frame to welcome the viewer ( chuckle) and sneaking up on those back yard trees, like fishing for logs, catch & release.
