  • Hey guys. I apologize about the lack of videos. Been really busy for work but I finally got a vintage system to show you. This is a Vintage Halon 1301 system being controlled by a FiQuench 10-038 Special Hazard panel from 1978. The devices were the following:
    Wheelock 7002-24 “Labeled FiQuench & Halon”
    Mirtone 74303 Vibrating Bell
    FiQuench / Unitec FA-20 pull station “Labeled Halon”
    Hochiki SIF-E Ionization Smoke Detector
    Hochiki SLR-835B-2 “Under The Floor”
    Hochiki Photoelectric Smoke Detector (Simplex 2098-9603)
    I hope you enjoy!

    Still remember when I came across one a couple years ago. These systems are living dinosaurs but it's amazing they still work!

      One of the best Suppression panels imo. Easy, simple & reliable. Just a pain in the ass to disarm the squib😬

    Nice! I love seeing late 70’s stuff. It’s so novel nowadays.

    This man gotta be very lucky, never in my life have I ever seen fiquench/halon horn/strobes go off before, especially on youtube, may I ask if the system is still being intact or do you plan to sell the devices if they are removed?

      The system has zero plans of being taken out. They are still actively using the data room & the halon tanks have never been shot off. The system could go another 50 years. If I were to pull the horn strobes out. I would keep them. They are quite hard to come by. Systems like this are rare and I try to film when I can. Hopefully one day I will own them. If not, I know they are not going anywhere

    What does Halon mean?

    • @mirkwoodphotography2089
      @mirkwoodphotography2089 Год назад +1

      It’s a type of gas used to put out fires. Can cause asphyxiation if discharged in concentrated amounts in an enclosed space.
