Probably, he is the only Indian descent stand up comedian world knows. Indians stand behind any Indian who represents and gives them some recognition. Indians are desperate for attention and some appreciation. Indians ego is big and has low self-esteem.
Love it. It reminds me of my friend's complaint: his kids went to a daycare run by Russians in NY. Then, he couldn't understand what his kids were talking about while they were speaking with each other cuz they spoke Russian. And, my friend is a Chinese. LOL

It's a taxi driver accent...we are used to hearing our professor lecturer sportman speak in English , sound nothing like that ....but mostly foreigner meet lots of taxi driver and they make a sterotype about it ..
