I', an arab and the joke he said about how arabs clap was totally true. In ninth grade graduation party, they played music and as students we had to clap the whole song. On top of that I was wearing a ring. half way through my hands were red because i was clapping so hard. and the song was about ten minutes so my hands hurt so hard for like a week.

The norooz you are talking about is shahanshi norooz. The one that is celebrated in march is called jamshidi norooz.
