As an O/O it your responsibility to cross reference the information you receive. Everyone’s experience is different. Miranda is not going to steer you wrong, but at the same time take the initiative to study the market you are traveling to before you make that leap of faith. This area is a hot market, but a lot of people know this. So now you have capacity fighting for the same volume. Don’t blame another person for your shortcomings. Instead figure out what you did wrong and fix it.
Market updates are a high level 30,000 foot view of the freight market. But, if you want to be a successful OO you gotta work that load board everyday, drill down into the actual loads available in multiple markets, set alerts, book 2-3 loads ahead, make relationships with agents and do it every single day if you want to get the best loads in this market. And, NEVER take a great load into a dead area without a plan on how to get a load out first.

You’re giving us a great service. What people don’t understand is that, it’s not a warranted that you’re going there and you’re ahead of the pack. Markets on cities changed daily. One day it’s got $3/mi the next day is dead and the best you can get is $1.87/mi. You can either wait it out and keep on trucking. Overall statistics are not going to show every little detail. I have weeks were Im doing better than what you’re statistics are and some days are worse. But what I know is that all your research, I’m taking advantage of it while driving instead of burning through energy and resting time trying to research myself. So please, continue making these videos.
That's why I went and bought a dump truck and work for a big paving outfit..$100 an hour to sit around most of the time and bull shit with the boys..Low miles..low fuel..not alot of maintenance ect ect..

The whole country is dead. Trucking is finished. Won't ever get better. To many truckers in the game and they book cheap freight non stop.
This is what we get for sending all our manufacturing and industries overseas. And almost nothing built in the States is American owned.
