I know you don't use your hydraulic press much. When you were pressing the pins out of the supports, if you turned the spindle in with there'd handwheel, you could have raised the bed by one pin in your uprights . Also you could use an electric or pneumatic pump to make it easier.
Props to you, Clinton, for letting your boys work with you and learning. You're a good teacher. No yelling, just giving them the time to figure it out for themselves. Nice to see!
Yes I'm going to say it .... Kevin did an awesome painting job !!! Looks like a new machine. Thanks for including. Also it's great Hunter is learning the biz, looks like he's enjoying it !!
Clint, those boys are very lucky to have a father like you. I love the way you respect and treat them while teaching them in the shop, and your employees as well. Sure, your dad was the same way with you. My hats off to you. Keep up the good work.
There's a product called steelcrete and you can drive heavy equipment on this product and it would brake down like concrete. Just letting you know about this in case your interested in it. I have used it on dump areas where a big cat moves hog fuel and it didn't come apart at all in the years it was there.
Awesome video Clint, that old 455 is going to make someone a real nice machine with all of the work you and the boys put into it. It sure turned out awesome,👍👍
Your boy is a going to be a fine operator he listens very well to what you say witch we all know in a tight spot that's most important part of being on any machine
One of the best things about documenting the progress as you rebuild these machines is you can show any buyer what you have done, and they can be confident they will be getting a great piece of equipment. This 455e turned out beautifully. Would almost be afraid to get it dirty if it was mine, lol.
I really enjoyed that video, It gives me a good feeling to see older machinery brought back to new new condition. Someone will get years of service out of that dozer now. Well done guys.
Beautiful, probably as good as factory new if not better than factory produced. Absolute steal at the price you are asking for it, and as you say it will keep a contractor or farm operation going for another 35 years. Well done to all, and thanks for sharing the detail and logic behind your decisions.
Great video. I bet Kevin was the best finger painter in his 2 yrs of kindergarten. Really just kidding. Kevin you due an excellent job of prep and paint. Nice to see older equipment made to look and run like new. Thanks guy's good work.
I’m hooked. A few years ago I had the pleasure of replacing a hydraulic hose on a 1984 jd 450 dozer. Had no idea what I was doing. Had to pull the nose off, drop the skid pan, buy wrenches big enough to fit the bolts. All laying out in the dirt and weather. I completely appreciate the civilized and quality work you boys do on this channel. I did finally get the old Deere working again.
It is very good to see the younger generation working professionally, Tucker and Hunter will be an awesome team in the future, this has been a brilliant and very educational video you should make some of these videos available to some collages that do engineering trust me they will learn so much more than they could just doing heavy mechanics, Hunter and Tucker don't realise the education they are getting is worth a packet.
OK Clint, I just binge watched this whole series, loved it, all the trials and tribulations that you and your crew went through to make an old piece of iron run and look like new.
I think you guys repair like these machines like they are yours ... and then some one comes in a takes them away from you. Can't believe the parts, labor, paint & tlc on a clapped out loader AND nooow it looks better than a brand new out of the factory unit! Great job !
What an awesome machine that turned into. Clint, you and your crew work so well together and your sons are not afraid to get right in there. They are getting some valuable experience and you are such a laid back dad. I’m an old man now but I would have loved to work for a man like yourself. I’m definitely hooked on your first class videos and your content. Bob D
Manhunters really come along he's he's got the ambition it's good to see that I was a great video that thing turned out awesome and thanks for sharing see you next time
Hunter, you need a hard hat when working with you father. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 you do a great job, keep it up. All the best from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺. Kevin the paint jobs looks good. 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice, super nice. My favorite part was watching your sons work with you , taking the initiative to learn and you letting them know you appreciate them. Thank you
Looks great! Always happy to see the young men working with your team. They are gaining invaluable experience in working with people and overcoming problems with superior guidance available at all times. I really enjoy your videos! Stay well, stay safe!
Hi from uk guys👋👍 clint I said this other day on demo but this machine has came out absolutely amazing man I mean yes from day one with backhoe when dad wiped us lot off trailer goin flat out 😂👌 to now and all the laughs and kevins gigglefit with commentary as mic on cam went off ( you probs muted his comments for reason😂😂) but yes its been a good series and thanks for letting us jump in booth with kevin and a great job he does👌 hope the camera didnt catch too much overspay tho for us 👍 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon guys👍👋
That mud mover looks real pretty Kevin. You should park it in a field on a hill or knoll for a silhouette photo at dawn or dusk, maybe with morning dew and foggy. Put a barely clad hot woman in the foreground posing, That would sell well as a fine art print, for a calendar or merch. Use Paintshop or Photoshop to paste on some supporter logos then to render a cartoon from the photo then blaze that rendering into T-shirt or hoodie merch. Then Kevin can brag that he's a world renowned painter.
Back for a second look. That was a nice bell sound produced by Hunter removing the sprocket. Heck of a paint job, Kevin. Great coverage. Well done by all.....
Dammit! You guys do some nice work there!!! Hunter has come a far way in such a short time. Keep it up little man. You have an incredible dad right there!
And I thought painting a house was bad enough, that thing has wrinkles than 200 year old witch. Nice looking job though. Somebody going to get a really nice machine. Good to see the boys in the shop. Nice job Kevin👍, Thanks for the ride along.
I cannot express the feeling of how you make the boys learn to get their hands dirty in business. You are one GREAT dad. I do same for my kids. They are going to inherit a very good business so they need to know how to run it well. You teach them everything. Hope they appreciate every bit.
That has to be the best 455 track loader out there! You made it just like better then new that’s for sure! There’s no way it’s going to last long for sale. You and Kevin will be in the chips in no time.
Brilliant video, Clint; she looks awesome at the end. Kev did a brilliant job on the respray, as did Hunter with his work and driving everything. You must be very proud of your guys !
Sometimes you forget just how knowledgeable Kevin is with his great sense of humour but he is a valuable employee
