Kevin is laughing ‘cause he’s thinkin’ “my Boss is really in deep kimchee with this one!”
Jack up the radiator cap and install a new dozer!
All the good dozers they left in Afghanistan
Great videos guys
Now all of those left behind are looking like this one.
i love these video's they can be 24 hours long and ill still enjoy them . the amount of work you all put into it and the humor is just awesome . This channel and the people on the video are just awesome and a example of how you should run a business , still have fun and be incredibly fair towards customers
About 10+ years ago I went for a job interview at a military base maintenance facility, and the amount of parked equipment waiting for repairs was a real eye opener.
for the Air Force it's call VDP vehicle down for parts some of the vehicles are sent out because of lack of training
What a mess thanks for sharing 🎉🎉😅
Govt is great at fucking shit up at it. I’m warming peace 99% of it has no repercussions if you fuck it up not like the civilian world.
Must be 3rd shop in an Army post
Why fix it when taxpayers can buy new ones.
I have a feeling it's going to be the gift that just keeps on giving, AHHH!!
When you catch it, let us know why they put the right side track on backwards.
I personally like the long videos. That's a monster of a project. Someone, somewhere is going to be running an awesome dozer. Good luck.
Just love watching the interaction between Mr C&C & Kevin, while being professional, it’s so entertaining. Power to you guys
You all have all the fun. Thanks for sharing.
One of my old mates put in a lot of work with our 8th Army repairing tanks all the way through 1945 - then to add insult to injury spent most of 1946 throwing them into the Med - along with brand new Hispano-Suza aircraft engines - whole shiploads of the stuff. That's what our civil service does with surplus - it would break their hearts to see you get these scrappers running - and today, any moving object sold for scrap is mercilessly torched before it leaves the depot. It's enough to make strong men weep.
Boy I luv when a plan comes together. Keep up the good work
Great video your companion for equipment and bringing it back to life is top notch
Very impressive depth of knowledge guys.
Good to see your dad there getting things done right!
I thought the quote of the video was "This is what happens when you click buy on the internet" LOL I had no doubt you would be able to get it put together. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video. It's amazing when you have extra units that are down get used for spare parts
Love your optimism and unrelenting desires to bring life back to these marvelous machines
Good thing you worked on a couple of those.
I can’t think of any guys better to save that tractor and put it all back together. You guys are amazing love your channel. Keep up the great content.
More fault finding 101! Great stuff. Mason learning from real professionals.
Just like throwing dice in Vegas. Fingers crossed she runs. Great Video. The humor is top notch.
Awesome, another week end who start with your team and your project, always a pleasure 👍👍👍👍
When you buy parts are parts you really need to buy parts great video thanks Clint and Kevin and Mason and Hunter
Good thing is, that that’s not your first 850 to put that basket case back together. I guess anything that doesn’t look original will need to be checked to see if someone meddled with it.
I don’t know what’s worse the mechanics or the operators in the military. Either seem to be able to break an anvil with a rubber hammer. 😂😂
Bend a crowbar in a sandbox!
Really enjoyed this video you guys are very interesting to watch !!😊😊😊
I'm always amazed how interesting it is to watch you guys work on these dozers. I hope whoever buys the wrecker sends you some epic videos of it in action.
Taking a big chance with all new parts and possibly major broken parts. Love your confidence. Very interesting.!!
When the video is interesting like this one nobody minds the length of it keep pumping them out
Haha you may need to build a front weight bracket for that beast of a wrecker. Nice work guys!
ENJOYED watching .
i used to help the city mech work on the van pelts fire engines in 80's i was a vol fighter fighter
What a mess! But with you and your team everything will be fine. Thanks for sharing!
It may be missing a lot of parts but it still looks in good condition
Nope everything is paperless now 😂😂
You guys know your John Deere products. Excellent watching your presentations. Stay Safe!!!
Can’t wait till episode 3, thank you for your videos.
Nothing like turning a parts unit into a reliable, running unit. Thankfully C&C is up to the task. Hopefully it does the new owner good.
I dont know how I missed this one. Nice job, guys
I thought I missed an upload. Says uploaded 3 days ago
Clinton your knowledge is priceless !! As I've said before ? It's not just what you know ? But with what you bring to the table? You lift everyone around you !! Very Impressive !
Mason is a genuinely good guy, good mechanic and just a good nature. Clint, you and Mama have a real gem!!
Mason isn’t their son. Just a friend of his son’s Tucker and Hunter.
Well Kevin, I'm impressed, I didn't think it was possible to do a wheelie with that monster wrecker, but you managed to pull one through the entire building 😳😱😂
Clint, gotta say, you are a far more ambitious guy than I am!! If it was me, I think this one would have been the next parts dozer🤔
Good luck!!
Yup, it's a fixer upper!
Something to try on those small broken bolts is an engraver. Ive had alot of success. Great video guys!
You guys are something special! This one looks like it will be EPIC. You have hooked me, anxiously awaiting the next installment. 879 hours (if the meter works). Keep this great entertainment coming, was smiling thru the entire video!
always just lovely fixing other people's uh-oh's
You guys got this no matter how many default stickers you come across. No job to big for the C&C crew. Is there a possibility that they robbed the good final drive and drive shaft off of this machine and stuffed all the broken parts back in this one off the other? I worked at Fort Wainwright Alaska for 8 years for a contractor doing aviation stuff. They also have infantry with tons of ground vehicles. Borrow parts to keep things going. Replace later. Thanks for another great video guys. Looking forward to the next on this dozer. Take care and stay safe.
You do know that you can use a torx head bit on alan head bolts. You can usually tap them in far enough to get them to start.
I have a good feeling that you initially figured the costs to repair complete to sell. So, you will profit nicely!! 🙂
A real jewel you got there Clint. Hoping you can make a profit after it's all said and done. Have fun guys. Iam guessing at 910 hours on this dozer.
Not my dozer not my dozer :)
Ran when parked, needs tires to pass inspection 😉
Slight case of a can of worms there eh Clint!!!! sure got your hands full with this one.. Gonna have to make a clip on weight pack for your Het-Wreck to keep those steers on the ground!! that 850 was a heavy gal!
That truck is amazing.
She's a beaut, Clark!
Quite the puzzle you got yourselves into. I hope you bought a lottery ticket that day you got that broken bolt backed out with the punch. Look forward to the next video on the old girl. Keep up the great job ol boys 😁👍
The next time you have an allen screw hole strip out, try pressing or hammering a torx bit in the hole. An easy-out may get it but they go in so shallow that the end of them usually breaks off.
Looking forward to see it run
One time when I was working on forklifts we had a customer that had a fleet of all the same Hyster 155’s We ordered a new Perkins 1004 for one and it got stuck in shipping for months. In the meantime I ended up robing the trans, hyd. Tank, differential and a whole lot of other parts (like your dozer) by the time the engine came in I had a list like yours. The good news was once I put it all together they had a new used forklift 😂
To troubleshoot the source of a problem is one thing, to sort through a myriad of other peoples problems is on a whole different set of skills, anything you looked at you’d have to ask your self questions about do I need to check that and let it go only to be bitten in the behind down the track, this is a classic from You guys
looks like the right side track is on backward love the videos
Years ago I thought I was a genius finding this roller that looked like a great deal. I bought it couldn’t wait to get back to the shop and get started getting it back to working condition. Well under further review I must have had blinders on it was missing parts and must have been worked on by a 6 year old. After many wasted hours and to many bloody knuckles I completely lost my mind dragged it out on the shop and started smashing it with an excavator and eventually hauled it in for scrap lol
Great video. You have your work cut out for you. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks.
Really enjoy your channel Clint.
I am always amazed at how much effort is involved in bringing these beasts back to life. Awesome efforts so far.
Imagine the poor sob that bought this dozer at an auction thinking he could drop this off at his local dealer & only have to spend a few 31000 to get it going.
Clint has all the experience, has or is familiar with getting the parts, & is doing all the labor at his internal cost.
If you had to pay full retail for labor and parts it might be cheaper to buy a new dozer.😳
This is getting good!
Working on a parts donor always is fun, especially one from the military. It always is a big can of surprising worms... 😜
“NOT MY DOZER” 🙄😏😉, good night, the cost of parts it would probably cost 50X’s the original cost of the dozer to build it ground up buying it by parts. I found over the years in service work that the toughest part of it was to figure out what the guy(s) did that were there ahead of you working on the equipment before I got there, some times it was like “ bring your brain to work with you day” was optional, and they didn’t exercise the option, fun video, at least for me. Thanks for the tag along vid, looking forward to part 2.
its amazing what you get into when someone has had it apart you dont know how far to go and where to stop.john deere makes good equipment but they dont mind charging a arm and a leg for parts but about every brand of equipment is the same way anymore
As a suggestion, we use an air engraving tool to remove broken bolts 👍
Hope you got it cheap!
After a closer inspection, it would seem that the right front is a little low on air and that should fix it good as new 😮😂
You can pound a torx bit into a rounded Allen, works most of the time
Nice work.
❤❤❤ a real working crew 😊😊😊
It’s a good thing it was in all wheel drive! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love that burn out!! lol ,,Coffees on!!Cheers!;-)!
My cousin went to West Point back in the 1960’s and we used track layers for farming in California. He was the only student there that had any track layer experience.
Dang I missed a video!!!! 😞📸 Hope Mr. & Mrs. C are having a blessed week!!! Keep up the good work team! 👍💪 My tools were looking good!!👍 😁😎 Lol 😆😂
I like the new stars and stripes hat.
Ever thought of getting RBRT from Mac there great for that sort of thing with stripped srews
😅makes that monster tow truck a little light in the front loafers
Just as well I check up on you guys regularly, I didn't receive a notification for this video!
🤘
I really enjoy these videos!
I like The greenery I guess I have to pay more attention to your channel
Great content Clint love watching you and the gang in these vids, brilliant
What a mess it makes a great video enjoyed this part
Late to the video, but, EXCELLENT,EXCELLENT,EXCELLENT. I can’t get enough! A thousand thank you’s.
Great Video......Thank You....
Clint you need some counterweights on the front of the wrecker!
... a LARGE water bumper. 😊
Looking forward to seeing this one!
Awesome video as always.
Look like a lot of fun. 1250 hours
Awesome video thanks for your time and consideration top job top team 🚜🚜🚜🚜
Keep the great videos coming to pay for some of the parts!
I like it all, I'm a fix-it guy, retired, 83 years old so I love it........
The military is GREAT for using one piece of equipment to keep others running. A LONG TIME in Vietnam we were on the DMZ and never got parts Old rolling stock became a parts bin. Sad it still goes on today. We need to fund our heros better.
Hello enjoyed your video im waiting see how this works out. Have a great day.
Here in Cincinnati I work across the street from JD ..they seem to always have a couple 850’s sitting on the lot , maybe I can sneak over one morning and barrow a final drive for ya.
Being a FOMOCO driver I'm qualified to say this.
But do the words Fix, or Repair Daily come to mind to anyone else besides myself?
Clint, I'm glad to see in the opening minutes of the video that you had Kevin in a safe place to where it was out of the way if anything happened to go wrong.
Looks like you might of opened up a can of "Oh Sh!t", possibly with this one.
Except I've got a strong feeling that it's gonna workout to your advantage before the books are closed on it.
Hey Clinton it's terrible how hopeless the Military are at equipment maintenance ,it's apparent they carry no spare parts into war zones, still it's a win for you and your viewers ,I really enjoy getting these machines back into working life with you and Kevin and the boys Great content mate .
Cheers Kym
Adelaide
Look at the billions of dollars of military equipment they abandoned when they fled Afghanistan with their tail between their legs!
